The Hospital Council of Northwest Ohio (HCNO) is excited to announce scholarship funding for 40 Northwest Ohio Community Health Workers to attend the 2025 Unity Conference, hosted by the National Association of Community Health Workers (NACHW)!

The Unity Conference is a dynamic, educational, and interactive gathering that brings together Community Health Workers (CHWs), allies, members, and partners from across the country. Together, we’ll celebrate the diversity, strength, and resilience of the CHW workforce.

📍 Location: Greater Columbus Convention Center, Columbus, OH

📅 Dates: July 30 – August 1, 2025

This opportunity is open to all CHWs in Northwest Ohio on a first-come, first-served basis. Space is limited, so we strongly encourage you to register as soon as possible.

Our Disaster Preparedness division (Northwest Healthcare Coalition/NWHC) was invited to the Grand Aire Terminal at the Eugene F. Kranz Toledo Express Airport for the official Toledo Airshow announcement.

NWHC will run the region's portable hospital, which will be used as a medical station for the airshow on Mother's Day weekend-- May 10th and 11th 2025.

On November 22nd, over 100 complete Thanksgiving meals were packed with care at Grace Community Center.

HCNO staff volunteered for "United for the Holidays," a United Way of Greater Toledo-sponsored event.

Our HR business partner was able to attend the Toledo Human Resource Association Conference sponsored by NOHRA / Northwest Ohio Human Resource Association Toledo and Workspring.

There were sessions on leadership, compensation, DEI, engagement, talent acquisition, and more.

The president of The Hospital Council of Northwest Ohio attended the American Hospital Association Regional Policy Board meeting in Chicago on September 26th. There was a focus on discussing issues and initiatives to benefit our region's hospitals and the communities they serve.
