Here’s a fun one for you.

A. Batter is OUT because he was in fair territory.
B. FOUL because it went foul before 1B bag.
C. FOUL because he’s little and that’s unfortunate.
D. FOUL because he, nor the ball, have passed the curved line, which generally indicates an age-specific division line for balls in/out of play.

My answer: D — and maybe also C, if you’re into game management.

But if we’re keeping score and his team is up by a bunch: Maybe A? 🤣

Hello umpires/referees! We're planning to generate more of an online presence moving forward, so you may start to see some photos of officials at local games, information on clinics, maybe even some quizzes and videos.

We're gearing up for spring sports, where we schedule officials for Shawnee County Parks + Recreation. Getting ready for a huge turnout for soccer in particular, along with baseball and softball. We've got a few clinics for young officials this coming week. Stay tuned!
