AHNA stands with the American Nurses Association (ANA) in raising concern over the abrupt leadership changes at the CDC and the removal of nursing representation from the Advisory Committee on Immunization Practices. These sudden shifts threaten transparency, stability, and the trust our nation needs in its leading public health agency. As nurses and being the most trusted profession, we must have a voice in shaping health policy that affects every community. We stand with ANA in calling for steady CDC leadership, reinstating nursing representation, and ensuring open communication to keep the public safe.
