We were honored to join WIBW and WIBW Melissa Brunner recently to talk about how we can help youth you have both a substance use and mental health challenge by treating both at the same time.

The more we talk about these topics, the less alone we can help our neighbors feel!

Join us in saying a big "Congratulations" to Brynn Hooper! 🎉

Brynn was nominated for a Margo Award from the University of Kansas School of Social Work. This award honors teachers who do a great job training students. 🎓

Brynn was nominated by her student, Shelby. Brynn loved watching Shelby grow and gain confidence as a future therapist. 🤝

The Marketing & Development crew took some time this week to visit our friends at Iron Rail Brewing, and by sitting at the Spotlight Table, 10% of the proceeds went back to Astra!

You read that right - we got a great meal and gave back to our community, and you can too. Whether you’re a longtime supporter or just looking for a great burger, head on over to Iron Rail now through April 16 and ask to sit at the Spotlight Table! 10% of your proceeds will go to Astra to support the vital work our 700+ team members do every day.

We have some huge news! 🌟

Cox Charities is celebrating 10 years of giving back to their communities. They looked at all the groups they have donated to over the last 10 years and chose only 10 to come visit them in Wichita. We are proud to say that Astra Mental Health & Recovery was one of them!

Our team got to talk with their staff today about the work we do to help our neighbors. Because we were in the top 10, we received a $3,000 donation, and we are in the running for an additional donation if Cox staff picks us as their "people’s choice!”

A huge thank you to Cox Charities! We are so honored and grateful to have your support.

Help us give these students from the Washburn University School of Nursing a big round of applause! Last week, they became Adult Mental Health First Aiders. A big thank you to Astra instructors Jim Williamson and Ramon Chavez for teaching this group of young leaders.
