Happy February and National Heart Month! ❤️🫀 This month we are doing a free raffle for this Valentine’s basket which includes chocolates and a free manicure and pedicure at the Litchfield Spa! The raffle basket will be at the checkout desk in our Torrington office so place your name in there after your visit for a chance to win! The winner will be announced on Valentine’s Day. Charlotte Hungerford Hospital's Volunteer Department recently welcomed a special new member —Boss, a gentle 125-pound Newfoundland therapy dog, along with his handler, retired orthopedic surgeon Dan Gelb.

Their recent first visit was met with warm smiles, hugs, and plenty of puppy kisses from staff. Boss will be visiting weekly, offering comfort and connection to patients and staff alike. Research shows that time with therapy animals can reduce stress and promote emotional well-being, making Boss a great new addition to the Charlotte community!
