Thanking God for His healing and you all for the prayers!! Zalie is doing amazingly well!! There is no way to explain her circumstances than a miracle. She is walking with virtually no limp and has only had mild discomfort.

We received some fantastic news today at Zalie’s pre op appointment!! She only has to have an 8 plate put in her left knee and not both. Surgery is set for first thing tomorrow morning. Zalie is mentally, emotionally, physically, and spiritually ready. She is full of faith and fight. As always, we appreciate the prayers. God is the ultimate healer.

This sweet warrior girl could really use some prayers. The emotional toll of repeated surgeries at such a young age and not being “normal” (Zalie’s words) are weighing very heavy on her.

We were given news this week that Zalie’s specialist is moving back to Florida. We want the best for Dr. Huser and his family. It just makes it more challenging for us with travel and especailly a 16 hour drive post op. We were already planning on vacationing where we stayed because Zalie wanted to do all the things that she wasn’t able to do last time we were there.

Surgery is now rescheduled for July 1st at the end of our vacation. In Zalie’s eyes, she doesn’t feel like she can enjoy vacation due to worrying about surgery. As she cried herself to sleep last night, she said she is scared and she needs more strength from God because she doesn’t think she can do this. Then she would say she is sorry. 😢 Zalie is such a deep thinker (over thinker) and introverted, burrying everything inside. I think life’s challenges have caused her to grow up too fast. She knows the fight she is about to face and that makes it even harder for her.

This mom heart is heavy. I don’t know how to fix this or how to help her. The only thing I know to do is pray and believe that God will see her through and give her strength and peace. Please continue to lift Zalie up in prayer with me. Thank you for your continued love and support.

Zalie had a check up with Dr. Huser today. She is now scheduled for surgery on July 22nd. He will be putting a metal plate, called an 8-plate, on the inside of both knees. This will be to correct the knock knee. We are thankful that the surgery can be performed in St. Louis and will be outpatient. Zalie is processing with her typical quiet strength and just wants to know when she can be back on the 🏀 court. Recovery will be about 4 weeks. As always, thank you for supporting and praying for Zalie!
