**Alopecia Awareness Month:**

Alopecia Areata is an autoimmune condition that leads to the sudden loss of patches of hair and may present as diffuse thinning. The severity of the condition can progress, resulting in alopecia totalis, which is the complete loss of all scalp hair, or alopecia universalis, characterized by the loss of all body hair. Currently, there is no known cure for alopecia areata.

Our clinic emphasizes addressing inflammation and supporting the hair regrowth process through a multi-therapeutic approach. This includes a personalized at-home nourishment regimen, professional growth factor treatments combined with meso pulse therapy, and low-level laser therapy to promote regrowth.

# # # Alopecia Awareness Month: Understanding Traction Alopecia

**Traction Alopecia**
Traction alopecia is a type of hair loss that occurs due to mechanical damage from constant or repeated pulling and tugging on the hair. This condition often arises from styles that exert tension on the hair strands, such as extensions, braids, weaves, or tight ponytails.

**Prevention Tips**
To help prevent traction alopecia, it is essential to follow the recommendations from your hairstylist or extension specialist regarding maintenance both in the salon and at home.

**Restoration Possibilities**
Fortunately, traction alopecia can be restored. This restoration process involves altering your styling practices and adopting a hair care regimen that fosters a healthy environment for hair growth. By making these adjustments, you can promote the regrowth of your hair and maintain its overall health.

**ALOPECIA AWARENESS MONTH**

Alopecia, particularly Androgenic alopecia, is one of the most prevalent causes of hair loss. This condition is a hereditary form of hair loss commonly referred to as male or female pattern baldness. It results from a genetic predisposition that causes hair follicles to respond sensitively to androgens, especially dihydrotestosterone (DHT). This heightened sensitivity can lead to the miniaturization of hair follicles, ultimately reducing hair density.

To address this issue, we offer a comprehensive multi-therapeutic approach with our Xtreme Total Care regimen. Our strategy involves combating DHT both internally and externally, acting as a 'bouncer' to protect hair follicles from its effects. This approach aims to reverse the miniaturization of the hair follicles, promoting healthier hair growth.

Hair Loss Awareness Month: Understanding Shedding vs. Hair Loss

It’s essential to recognize that shedding is a natural part of our hair’s renewal process. It can be concerning to notice hair coming out, but remember that shedding is healthy and normal. In contrast, hair loss happens when the growth cycle slows down or stops, leaving the hair follicles inactive. If you’re experiencing hair loss, know that you’re not alone, and resources and support are available to help you through it. Let us guide you to Keep Hair Density!
