The best postpartum prep isn’t just birth prep. It’s this: practicing the 3 P’s—during pregnancy.

Because postpartum isn’t the time to learn this… it’s when you’ll rely on it.

1. Prioritizing
Not everything is essential.
Start getting honest about what actually matters in your day.

→ What can be dropped?
→ What can be “good enough”?
→ What actually needs YOU?

2. Planning
Your future postpartum self doesn’t need a perfect plan—she needs support built in.

→ Who’s bringing meals?
→ Who can you text when you’re overwhelmed?
→ What routines can you simplify now?

3. Pacing
This is the big one.
If you’re used to pushing through, doing it all, and ignoring your body… postpartum will feel like a crash.

Practice now:
→ Rest before you’re exhausted
→ Break tasks up
→ Notice your energy (not just your to-do list)

Postpartum recovery isn’t about “bouncing back.”
It’s about having systems that hold you when your capacity is lower.

And that starts now. ✨

If you’re due this summer, this is your gentle nudge 💛

I often hear from clients late in pregnancy saying,
“I wish I had started this sooner.”

Not because it’s ever too late—but because having a few sessions ahead of time gives you space to actually understand your body and feel more prepared going into birth.

Pelvic floor therapy during pregnancy can help with things like:
• reducing back, hip, and pelvic pain
• improving or preventing leaking
• preparing your body for birth
• learning to work with your body
• supporting smoother postpartum recovery

We’re not just doing exercises—we’re looking at how your body moves, responds to pressure, and functions in your real life.

Whether you’re planning a vaginal birth or a C-section, this work can make a big difference in how supported you feel going in.

And since I come to you, it’s one less thing to coordinate during an already full season.

If you’re due June–August and this has been on your mind, now is a really great time to start.

I offer a free 20-minute consult if you want to talk it through 💛

A client texted me this after welcoming her fourth baby at home this week.

When we started working together, fear was the loudest voice in the room.

Watching that shift into confidence and calm is one of the most meaningful parts of this work.

Birth preparation isn’t just physical.
It’s nervous system work, breath, awareness, attunement, and trust.

And sometimes it changes the entire experience.

I remember the advice: ‘Sleep when the baby sleeps.’ Except… my body didn’t cooperate.

Sometimes I was wired, overwhelmed, or just needed something that wasn’t a nap.

Here’s the thing: Rest doesn’t have to mean sleeping.

There are actually seven types of rest your body + brain need—and they can happen in tiny, doable moments throughout the day.

The 7 Types of Rest + Quick Ideas:

🛏️ Physical Rest: lie down with feet up, gentle stretch, wrap in a blanket

🧠 Mental Rest: step away from your screen, jot thoughts in a notebook

🕯️ Sensory Rest: dim lights, close your eyes, quiet time

🎵 Creative Rest: look at art/photos, daydream, listen to music

⛔️Emotional Rest: text a safe friend, let yourself cry, say no without apologizing

👯Social Rest: alone time if you’re “peopled out,” or connection if you’re craving it.

🧘Spiritual Rest: step outside, meditate or pray, reflect on what matters most

📩Which type of rest do you need most today? Drop it in the comments—I’ll reply with one extra idea for your chosen type.

“You’ve changed my life.”

A powerful statement from a client just minutes into our second session. 💗

She was struggling with waking to p*e at night, resulting in sleep disruptions and mental health concerns.

Simple adjustments made a significant impact.

Pelvic floor OT is more than exercises – it’s about restoring comfort, confidence, and control in your own body again.

If you’re ready to feel the difference in yourself, I still have openings in August!

📣Big news! I’m now a Certified S*xuality OT (CSOT)!

S*xuality is one of the most overlooked occupations, but it’s a vital part of holistic care. This certification through deepened my ability to support clients in areas like:

✨ S*xual interest – libido, desire, and motivation
✨ S*xual response – the body’s physiological reactions to sexual activity
✨ S*xual self-view – body image, confidence, and identity
✨ S*xual expression – behaviors, appearance, roles & daily routines
✨ Intimacy – connection, affection, and presence in relationships

Through specialized coursework in LGBTQIA+ & affirmative care, assistive devices for sexual activity, sexuality across the lifespan and exploration of my own beliefs and biases, I’ve expanded my ability to support clients in ways that truly honor the whole person.

S*xual well-being isn’t just about engaging in sexual activity—it’s about how we experience desire, how our bodies respond, how we express ourselves, and how we connect with others. I’m so excited to integrate this into my work and continue pushing for truly comprehensive pelvic health care!

Have questions about sexuality and pelvic health? Let’s talk.

⚡️BREAKING NEWS⚡️

I am now officially a certified Trauma-Informed Pelvic Health Practitioner (TIPHP)! Huge thanks to .ca and for crafting such a comprehensive certification program. Working alongside fellow pelvic floor OTs + PTs in the inaugural TIPHP cohort has been inspiring + more fun than I ever anticipated. I’m so proud of all of us for doing this important work.

So, what does it mean to be a trauma-informed pelvic health practitioner?

It means that I:
🚦acknowledge the far-reaching impact of trauma
🚦recognize how it manifests in my clients
🚦respond by integrating trauma-aware practices into my approach and
🚦actively avoid retraumatization

Being trauma-informed also means:
⚓️nurturing trust, safety + connection
⚓️embracing curiosity + flexibility to bolster resilience
⚓️creating spaces where clients feel respected + in control
⚓️ viewing setbacks as opportunities for growth
⚓️prioritizing self-determination + collaboration with clients
⚓️empowering voice + choice ALWAYS

As a trauma-informed pelvic health practitioner, I can support you with understanding how your past experiences might be impacting your current pelvic health concerns + daily functioning. I can support you with recognizing + building up strategies to respond to trauma responses as they arise in the context of the work we’ll do together + your goals with me.

I’m super excited to bring this new perspective to my clients! Feel free to drop a comment or message me if you have questions or would like to learn more.
