Due to medical reasons, the gentleman that was the Duneland Chapter INSSAR Registrar, has stepped down. I am now the new Registrar/Genealogist. I am also the Jr. Vice Commander for the new John Auten Camp #8 Dept. of Indiana Sons of Union Veterans of the Civil War (SUVCW).

I just received a Residency Certificate for a "Pioneer Family" in La Porte County, Indiana from the La Potre County, Indiana Genealogical Society. The family had to arrive prior to 1861.
Mine was George Walker that arrived in 1856. He was my Great Grandfather.
