A little blurb about us.
We (Ryan and Lisa), moved to Traverse City after falling in love with the community last November (2018) 4 months later we made this dream a reality! We were both born and raised in Los Angeles county California.
I (Lisa), has been vegan/vegetarian since I was 10 years old, when I discovered that food chicken was from an animal it wasn’t just food called chicken haha I know, but coming from a prominent meat eating household, I had to learn how to cook this cuisine on my own. With the help of my Grandparents, I honed in on my Mexican and American culture which influences our dishes. My grandfather always wanted to open up a restaurant, I loved the idea, my whole family can cook very well but that dream never left the ground but most certainly planted the seed within me and I will do anything to make it a reality.
Ryan has been a chef for over 13 years and has been trained in many facets of the culinary world. He has worked in some prestigious restaurants such as Sarentos at the Ilikai Hotel in Waikki, HI Benthams at the Amway Grand in Grand Rapids, MI, O’o Farms in Maui Hi, harvesting from the farm to table and Last but not least Duane's Steakhouse at the historic Mission Inn Hotel in Riverside, CA. A few years back Ryan became fascinated with the way Lisa made vegan food and wanted to try and test his skills by not using any animal products. This soon became a passion because it is a unique and challenging way of cooking. Lisa and Ryan started collaborating together at home and started a home catering business. They are looking forward to sharing their passion of vegan cooking with Traverse City's beautiful and eclectic community.
