This is our last outdoor class of the season before we wrap it up with Wine & Yoga on September 9th.

Join us for our next Museum Yoga class is this Thursday August 28 at 6pm! Instructors from Troy-based Explore Yoga will lead students through yoga postures and breathwork in classes appropriate for all levels of experience, from beginner to advanced. You will need to bring your own mat!

It was so nice to see everyone last week during our 11 Year Anniversary Celebration! We’re back at Troy Historic Village this Thursday, July 24 at 6pm for another outdoor yoga class.🌿✨

Whether you’re brand new to yoga or have an established practice, this all-levels class is the perfect midweek reset. We'll flow through gentle postures, connect with our breath, and soak up the peaceful outdoor setting of the Village Green. 🏡

Did you know your gluteus maximus is the largest muscle in your body? It's main job is hip extension and is active in each and every step we take, however, many of us don't utilize this muscle optimally. This can potentially lead to low back pain, si joint pain and more.

This is where yoga can help! Not only can a mindful practice enhance our body awareness, but many yoga poses (ie: Bridge, Chair etc), can help to strengthen and tone your glutes!

Let's breakdown Bridge Pose.

When the glute max is strong and properly engaged in Bridge:
✔️ You lift from the hips, not the spine strengthening the glutes and keeping the low back supported.
✔️ Your knees track safely over your ankles and you avoid extra wear and tear on the outer knees
✔️ You build strength where it matters: your posterior chain

This isn’t just about looking good, it’s about moving better, feeling stronger, and protecting your body from compensation patterns that lead to pain.
