We’re so excited to welcome Joanne Highfield to our team. Joanne will be joining us as the Practice Manager at both the Plastic Surgery Center and at our Medical Spa. She brings more than 20 years of healthcare experience, combining clinical expertise, leadership, and a passion for delivering exceptional, patient-centered care.

She earned her Bachelor of Science in Health Promotion and Rehabilitation from Central Michigan University, her Associate Degree in Nursing from St. Clair County Community College, and is currently completing her Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) at Oakland University.

Joanne began her career as an Exercise Physiologist in clinical cardiology and spent 18 years working in cardiology before transitioning into nursing. She later worked as an operating room nurse at Corewell Health Troy, where she developed extensive experience in surgical care, patient safety, and team coordination. It was there that she met Dr. Elswick, beginning a valued professional partnership.

For the past two years, Joanne has volunteered as a nurse with Trinity Community Care, serving uninsured and underinsured members of the community. Her greatest personal accomplishment is raising her daughter, Harper, who inspires her daily to lead with compassion, strength, and purpose.

As Practice Manager, Joanne oversees staff leadership, medical spa operations, and patient and client experience, ensuring every individual feels supported, informed, and cared for in a welcoming, refined environment.
