Tired Eyes??? OR Just tired of looking Tired???
Eyelid surgery, also called blepharoplasty, is a cosmetic procedure that improves the appearance of the upper eyelids and lower eyelids. It is one of the most popular facial procedures because it can make you look more rested, youthful, and refreshed—without changing your natural expression.

The blepharoplasty surgery of the upper eyes removes the excess skin, and fat pads if present, to create a more open, refreshed appearance.

The blepharoplasty surgery of the lower eyelids targets the under-eye bags and puffiness by removing the fat pads and this reduces puffiness, creating a smooth and natural contour—not hollow or overdone.

“The goal is always to make you look like a more rested version of yourself.”

Thermage is often considered "better" than some other non-surgical skin-tightening treatments. It tightens skin by boosting collagen.

Thermage uses radiofrequency (RF) energy to heat deeper layers of the skin. This heat causes existing collagen to contract and stimulates the body to produce new collagen. Collagen is what keeps skin firm and elastic. As you age, collagen decreases → sagging and wrinkles. Thermage helps rebuild it gradually; this leads to firmer, smoother skin and improved texture over several months.

One of Thermage's biggest advantages is that it is completely non-invasive:
✅ No incisions
✅ No needles or surgery
✅ Most people return to normal activities immediately after treatment

Many other treatments require multiple sessions to see results. Thermage is different:
1 treatment per year is enough for noticeable tightening. Results gradually improve over 3 - 6 months as collagen rebuilds.

Some treatments are limited to the face or neck. Thermage can be used on many areas, such as the abdomen, arms, and thighs.

✨ The Goal Isn’t “Tighter”
A facelift should not make you look tight.
It should restore what has gently fallen over time.

With the High SMAS approach, we reposition the foundation of the face. When the structure is lifted properly, the skin simply redrapes naturally.

That’s how we avoid the “wind tunnel” look. 💨

👤 Who Is a Good Candidate?
If you’re noticing:
• Jowling along the jawline
• Flattening in the cheeks
• Loose skin in the lower face

You may be a candidate for a High SMAS facelift.

⏳ Longevity Matters
One of the reasons I prefer the High SMAS technique is durability.
Because we’re lifting the deeper support layer, results tend to hold up beautifully over time.

It’s not about chasing trends. It’s about doing it right the first time. ✔️

🌿 Natural Is the Point
The best compliment my patients receive?
“You look great. Did you change your hair?”

That tells me we did it right.

A High SMAS facelift should refresh your appearance — not announce itself.

💬 Let’s Talk
The best way to know if this approach is right for you is a thoughtful consultation.

✨What I Tell My Patients
When someone comes in asking about a facelift, the first thing I hear is:
“I don’t want to look pulled.”
I agree.
That’s exactly why I prefer the High SMAS facelift technique. It lifts the deeper support layer of the face — not just the skin — so the result looks natural and relaxed.
You still look like you. Just more refreshed.

🔬Why Technique Matters
Not all facelifts are the same.
The High SMAS technique allows me to lift the cheeks and jawline in a controlled way, without putting tension on the skin.
That’s important for two reasons:
• It looks more natural
• It heals more predictably
Good surgery should never look like surgery.

🛡Safety First
Patients often ask about the difference between a High SMAS facelift and a deep plane facelift.
Both are advanced techniques. The difference is how aggressively the deeper tissues are released.
With High SMAS, I can achieve beautiful lift while staying in a very safe and well-defined surgical layer.
My priority is always results and safety — never one without the other.

Vertical or High-SMAS Variations
These techniques focus on:
• Lifting vertically (counteracting gravity more directly)
• Reducing a “pulled-back” look
They are still modifications of SMAS/deep plane principles — not an entirely new category of facelift.

🧠The Honest Bottom Line
A deep plane facelift is already a structural facelift — meaning it repositions the foundation of the face. There isn’t a universally accepted “next level” beyond it.
What you’re often seeing today is:
• Surgeon branding
• Technical refinements
• Different philosophies (aggressive vs. preservation)
• Marketing terminology
In facial rejuvenation surgery, the surgeon matters more than the label.

❓Not All Board-Certified Surgeons Perform Deep Plane
Even among board-certified surgeons, many prefer traditional or modified SMAS techniques because they are well-proven and less invasive. Some offer deep plane only when appropriate for the patient, while others specialize in it.
Even among board-certified surgeons, many prefer traditional or modified SMAS techniques because they are well-proven and less invasive. Some offer deep plane only when appropriate for the patient, while others specialize in it.

⚠Beware of Misleading Certifications
“Board-certified” doesn’t always mean the same thing.
• American Board of Plastic Surgery (ABPS) – considered the gold standard for plastic surgery training in the U.S.
• Other cosmetic surgery boards may also use “board-certified,” but they are not held to the same training and oversight standards.
For deep plane facelifts, many experts recommend choosing a surgeon certified by the ABPS (or a well-recognized facial plastic surgery board) with extensive facelift experience.

🧠Final Takeaway

✔Qualified, board-certified plastic surgeons do perform deep plane facelifts.

✔The best outcomes typically come from surgeons with focused training and significant experience in facial rejuvenation and deep plane techniques.

An "artful" eye matters when it comes to lip filler. It isn’t about bigger—it’s about better balance, improved definition, and restoring youthful volume. Thoughtful placement and the right amount of product can enhance lip shape while maintaining a natural, refined look.

Lip filler can enhance shape, restore lost volume, and create natural-looking definition when performed with precision. Call to schedule your consultation to discuss if filler is the right option for you! 💋
