When Should You Consider Liposuction?✨
Liposuction isn't a weight-loss shortcut — it's a body contouring procedure designed to target stubborn fat that won't respond to diet and exercise.
💡You may be a good candidate if:
• You're close to your ideal weight
• You have localized fat (abdomen, thighs, arms, chin, flanks)
• Your skin has good elasticity
• You're in good overall health
• You have realistic expectations
🚫Liposuction is NOT for:
• Significant weight loss
• Loose or sagging skin
• Cellulite removal
• Replacing healthy lifestyle habits
The goal is improved shape and proportion — not a dramatic drop on the scale.
If you're healthy, stable in your weight, and frustrated by stubborn areas that won't budge, liposuction may be worth exploring.
“Liposuction can be a simple office procedure.”
For small or moderate areas, liposuction does not always require general anesthesia or a hospital stay. It can often be safely performed in-office using local anesthesia, meaning:
• You stay awake and comfortable
• The treatment area is fully numbed
• No breathing tubes or deep sedation are needed
• Recovery is typically quicker
We use a technique called tumescent liposuction, where a numbing solution is placed into the treatment area. This solution:
• Numbs the area completely
• Minimizes bleeding and bruising
• Makes fat removal smoother and safer
Most patients describe the experience as:
• Feeling pressure or movement
• Little to no sharp pain
• Being comfortable enough to talk during the procedure
Because it's done under local anesthesia:
• There's a lower risk compared to general anesthesia
• You go home the same day
