Today is the day! We are so excited to see everyone and spend the day together in nature!!! Dress in layers the mountain has its own climate!!

Good Morning!! As the gathering approaches, we just wanted to share the schedule, and some info about the day!
Directions, because you may not have service once you get up on the mountain!!

What to bring?
A chair, water bottle, note book, a smile and an empty belly :) Also dress in layers, the mountain has many different climates through out the day.

What?
A gathering of like minded folks who want to learn how to keep our selves and families healthy, happy and thriving in a natural sustainable way. An all day series of workshops like plant distillation, growing mushrooms, flower essences, herbs for mental health, herbs for your kids, tree grafting, sound healing, growing herbs and farming, yoga, plant walk and how to build your home apothecary. A farm to table lunch, snacks, teas and maybe even some custom mocktails :)

We are thrilled to welcome Anna Dunbar to the gathering!!

Anna has gone down several different paths in her life but moving back to her hometown of Troy surrounded by the plants, landscapes, and loved ones of her childhood rekindled a love of the great outdoors (especially plants) that was initially fostered by her dad and sister, Beth. Apprenticing in herbalism under Beth for the last several years, Anna has also begun some more formal herbal training, currently working through Rosemary Gladstar’s course The Science of Art & Herbalism as well as completing an end-of-life herbal course taught by Emily Ruff. Pulling from these different wells of information, Anna will delve into different preparations and herbs specified for use with your little ones in her class, Herbs for Children.
You may be thinking, “how does working with the dying relate to working with children?” Maybe not so surprisingly, the bookends of your life have many parallels. From creatively incorporating gentle herbs that focus on the health of multiple systems of the body to encouraging hydration and nourishment, we find that with both children and the elderly these can be some pretty frustrating tasks to accomplish. Anna’s goal with this class is to help you start a “toolkit” of sorts to help you find new and perhaps sneaky ways to provide your kiddos with herbal nourishments that they will actually enjoy as well as learning about different things you can do to engage your kids with the plants around them. She hopes you will join her on this journey at the Armenia Mountain Herb and Wellness gathering on June 28th!

Today we highlight Nicole of Greener Pastures Farm & Greenhouses she is an inspiration and one of the hardest working, dedicated FarmHer's we know!

"Drawing from her love of growing up around her grandparents farm’, Nicole knew she always wanted to be a farmer. BUT how exactly do you start a farm from scratch?

There are simply times in your life when a change is needed—although that idea in itself can be quite difficult to do as we are creatures of habit and comfort. One of the catalysts was the death of her cousin. Why was she teaching in a city school district? Is this REALLY what you want to do for the rest of your life? How are you going to raise children in this crazy world?

A vision of Greener Pastures was “hatched” as Nicole commuted to work an hour away. Wanting to raise theirkids around plants and animals, Steve & Nicole realized that this was going to be a good decision—although it would involve working tirelessly to build a farm from scratch.

This is a labor of love here on their farm conveniently located in the middle of nowhere on Armenia Mountain. Two greenhouses, a high tunnel, seasonal farmstand, certified commercial kitchen, sugarhouse, pavilion, horse barn, livestock bed pack barn, excavating garage, pond, concert area and a woodworking shop were built since they’ve bought this land. And her desire to bring agritourism isn’t finished yet—stay tuned for more exciting news from the farm!"

Join Nicole for “Ask the FarmHer” session for hilarious but honest answers as to how they made this farm survive & thrive. Tours of all the abovementioned areas will be available as well as hands-on in the greenhouse if the attendees are interested ; )
