First and foremost, if you or someone you care about is struggling, dial 9-8-8 and talk to someone immediately.

Today is National Su***de Awareness Day—a powerful reminder that you are not alone, and that hope and help are always within reach.

On days like this, we want to emphasize the power of support and the impact of proven tools to help people survive crisis and manage stress. As a treatment center, Dialectic Behavior Therapy is at the center of our therapeutic approach and for good reason.

DBT skills are among the most effective, evidence-based ways to manage crisis and stress, helping so many find a way through their darkest moments.

Let’s break the silence, end the stigma, show compassion, and build hope.

Crow’s Nest Ranch is here for our community and we have build a list of trusted resources for your unique care needs. Reach out for support or resources—today, this month, and always.

Introducing GDT—Good Dog Therapy, the latest in cutting-edge, evidence-adjacent healing modalities. Because if talk therapy, mindfulness, and medication haven’t solved it, maybe it’s time to let a dog handle your existential crisis. Apparently, the future of mental health is four-legged, furry, and completely uninterested in your childhood trauma—unless it involves snacks.

Welcome to the frontlines of innovation, where breakthroughs are measured in tail wags and belly scratches.

Because sometimes, the best way to work through your issues is with a little less Freud and a little more Fido.

At Crow’s Nest Ranch, we know that healing isn’t always found in a circle of chairs or a stack of worksheets. Sometimes, it’s a cold nose nudging your hand, or a pair of eyes that don’t care what your story is.

Meet our canine team (right ➡️ left):

🐕 Aengus, who’s mastered the art of silent support and chew-tra informed care.

🐕 Hank, expert in boundaries—and by that we mean he will sit in your lab.

🐕 Fern, who specializes in DBT (Dog Bone Therapy) and off-leash vulnerability.

Research says animal-assisted therapy reduces stress, lowers blood pressure, and increases dopamine. We say: dogs just make the hard days a little easier to survive.

✨SOME LEGIT & FUN FACTS:

✔️ Petting a dog reduces cortisol and blood pressure faster than you can say “awkward group share.”

✔️ Animal-assisted therapy boosts dopamine—and your odds of smiling at least once today. (Science. Or maybe just magic.)

✔️ Dogs never interrupt, judge, or ask “How does that make you feel?” They already know, and the answer is “treats.”

Sure, we still offer CBT, DBT, ACT, and Trauma-Informed Therapy… but it comes with more fur, more tail wags, and absolutely zero judgment (unless you’re a squirrel).

And while they can’t solve your problems, they’ll sit with you through them. And sometimes, that’s enough.

Come meet the team. Healing might just be a little furrier than you expected.

Introducing our “Meditate & Destroy” Kit—a quick-strike collaboration between Crow’s Nest Ranch Sober Living and Few Will Hunt.

100% of proceeds go directly to our Sober Living Scholarship Fund, helping offset the cost of entry for those in need in our community.

Get the complete kit in sizes XS–###L for $200, or choose individual pieces:

Hoodie - $80
Rashguard - $75
Shorts - $70

This limited-edition kit includes a black long-sleeved sleeve rashguard, black shorts, and a black hoodie, all featuring the bold “Meditate & Destroy” graphic. The rashguard is adorned with a skull and skeleton hand putting on a blue oni mask—a symbol of serenity, wisdom, and spiritual growth—representing the paradox of recovery where we must learn to befriend our ‘demons’ and accept them as part of our story.

Inspired by the iconic Thrasher “Skate & Destroy” design, this collection pays homage to our founder’s roots in skateboarding and the resilience he built through that journey. This kit is an extension of our commitment to holistic recovery, mindfulness, and the power of martial arts, with Crow’s Nest Ranch being the only licensed and accredited recovery program in the nation offering evidence-based, trauma-focused jiu-jitsu and Muay Thai for recovery groups, led by expert practitioners who walk the path of recovery themselves.

Disclaimer: This “Meditate and Destroy” design is part of a limited-run fundraising effort by Crow’s Nest Ranch Sober Living (EIN #: 93-3484087), a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization. All proceeds support access to substance abuse treatment and behavioral health resources.

*Not affiliated with or endorsed by Thrasher or any third-party brands. For nonprofit fundraising only.*

Thank you for the love Sierra Sun! While Martial Arts is not the central focus of our program, we are confident in how these practices offer our patients the ability to slow down, breathe deep, and respond rather than just react.

Every session teaches offers our patients immediate exposure to high-stress situations where they can practice presence, patience, and purpose.
