Last week we gave an avalanche awareness talk to all grades at

All of the grades payed great attention and asked quality questions! We had them find Strong snow and Weak snow, Avalanche terrain and slab avalanche recipe, triggers…. And we talked about avalanche mitigation used at the resort. brought an avalanche rescue dog to talk about and show how they work! Thanks Bette the Avy dog!

Logan Utah here we come!! is hosting three days of avalanche education! We kick things off with:
Jan 30 a FREE Avalanche awareness event, not just a talk. This event gets you up and moving, doing hands on skills, and learning vital information. 6pm-9pm at Cycles & Sleds.
Jam 31 a 1 day Avalanche Intro course at up Logan canyon. This is a full day of riding learning skills in the field, applying I formation, gathering observations, making decisions, and coming home safe. Pack your lunch and fill your gas tank it’s going to be fun! 9am-5pm
Feb 1 a 1 day Avalanche Rescue class. We spend the day honing your skills with transceiver probe and shovel, practicing the specific ways to operate your tools, single and multiple burials. Solo and team rescue. Get the fundamentals of rescue skills so you can save a life if someone is caught in an avalanche. 9am-5pm
