What an unforgettable day at Miles That Matter 2025. Nearly 70 runners and walkers and 14 incredible vendors came together to celebrate community, empowerment, and global sisterhood. From the starting line to the festival, the energy was inspiring—and together we created real impact for girls in Tanzania.

Thank you to every runner, walker, donor, vendor, volunteer, and supporter who made this event possible. This is only the beginning. One mile at a time, we are empowering futures.

You’ll remember the 21st day of September as a day full of fun at Miles That Matter.

Join us at Truckee River Regional Park for a student-led 5K Run/Walk and free community festival with live music, food, local vendors, and a raffle.

Every $10 donated earns you a raffle ticket, and every runner or donor receives a handmade bracelet created by Gains for Girls.

Proceeds support our nonprofit partner CouldYou? Cup, helping girls in Tanzania with reusable menstrual products and the EmpowerHER Workbook, which teaches body literacy, financial literacy, self-confidence, leadership, and more.

Be a part of Miles That Matter!!

Run, walk, volunteer or even hang out at a student-led 5K run/walk and community festival on Sunday, September 21, 2025, at Truckee River Regional Park.

All proceeds support girls in Moshi, Tanzania by providing reusable menstrual cups and the EmpowHERment Workbook, which teaches health, leadership, and confidence.

The festival is free and will feature live music, food, local vendors, and a raffle with very exciting prizes. Every $10 donated earns a raffle ticket, and every participant and donor receives a handmade bracelet symbolizing global sisterhood.
