It's time to go grain...
Which bucket are you feeding your horse in and why? π
My thoughts as a bodyworker ππΌ
I personally am almost always going to choose a flat pail on the ground over a bucket that hangs on the fence!
Why?
Because it mimics a natural feeding position and allows for full range of motion through the jaw!
In some horses it can also slow their rate of feeding because they can fully see their surroundings and feel less "trapped" with their nose in a bucket and limited ability to see their surroundings as well.
Now there are *some* cases in which a fence feeder might be more appropriate, especially in horses with postural or core strength challenges who may find it difficult to bend down and maintain the "correct" grazing position while eating their grain.
What are your thoughts on feeding containers and feeding positions? π€
