"Being gay is like being left-handed—some people are, most people aren’t, and nobody really knows exactly why. It’s not right or wrong; it’s just one of the many natural ways to be. The world works best when everyone gets to live as they truly are. So if you ever feel out of place, remember: you’re not broken, you’re just beautifully different—and that’s something the world needs. That's all"

Good Feelings -

Good feelings can become a habitual part of our life.

There is absolutely no virtue in the unnecessary suffering, which many of us have felt for much of our life. We don't have to allow others to make us miserable and we don't have to make ourselves miserable.

A good day does not have to be the "calm before the storm". That's an old way of thinking we learned in dysfunctional systems.

A good day or a good feeling doesn't mean we are in denial. We don't have to wreck our good times by obsessively searching for or creating a problem. Enjoying our good days doesn't mean we're being disloyal to loved ones who are having problems. We don't have to make ourselves feel guilty because other people are not having a good day. We don't have to make ourselves miserable to be like them. They can have their day and their feelings; we can have ours.

A good feeling is to be enjoyed and more than we can imagine, good days are ours for the asking.

Please, let yourself enjoy what is good.

Be patient and gentle with yourself.
Sending you love.

I'm here for you.

Discipline isn't punishment-it's a declaration of self-respect. When you choose discipline, you're proving to yourself that no matter what, your goals matter, and that your future is worth fighting for. It's easy to give in to comfort, to take the easy way out, but real self-love isn't about short-term pleasure-it's about long-term fulfillment. Every time you do what's right for you instead of what's easy, you're reinforcing your belief in your own potential.

True self-love isn't found in indulgence, it's found in commitment. It's waking up early when you'd rather sleep in, pushing through the workout when you're tired, staying focused when distractions call. It's saying no to what weakens you and yes to what strengthens you. Discipline is the bridge between where you are and where you want to be, and every time you choose it, you're proving to yourself that you're worth the effort.

When you truly believe in yourself, discipline stops feeling like a burden and starts feeling like a gift. It's not about restrictions, it's about elevation. It's about honoring your future self, showing up every day, and proving through action that you refuse to settle. The greatest form of self-love is refusing to betray your own potential. Surround yourself with people that you want to be like. People that are disciplined. Keep showing up for yourself and keep pushing forward, because you're worth it.

Be patient and gentle with yourself.
Sending you love.

With gratitude,
Kimber

Opening Ourselves to Love
(and not settling for less) -

Allowing ourselves to receive love may be one of the greatest challenges we face in life. Many of us have unknowingly blocked ourselves from it — perhaps because we are not completely comfortable giving or receiving love in meaningful ways or we may have convinced ourselves that our longing for it should be silenced.

Eventually, a quiet truth will rise to the surface: we do want a more authentic love — not just through friendships or companionship, but deeply, intimately, and in ways that nourish the soul.

That realization, while beautiful, can also feel unsettling. Vulnerability can be unfamiliar territory. We may ask: Where do we go from here? How do we do this without hurting others or getting hurt ourselves?

We start by surrendering.
Then we follow by asking.
Asking for what we want. Asking for a love that aligns with the highest version of who we wish to become.

Do not settle.
Not all love is created equal. You are not here to passively settle — you are here, through self love and life experience, to make decisions born from championing your self worth and self-respect. This takes time, self-healing and wisdom.

Healing begins with loving ourselves.
Caring for yourself is an act of love and in doing so, you’ll grow confident in your ability to recognize and develop sharper intuition around the many unique types of love you attract and allow in your life.

Be grateful.
Have gratitude for all of the love, past and present, that has helped you along your journey. This will put you in an energetic vibration that keeps you open to a higher love. Choose to open to the love you wish to cultivate within.

Choose today.
Choose every day.
Choose again and again.

Choose to love yourself by choosing not to settle — because you are not here for love that is 'good enough'. You are here for the real thing and you are worthy of it.

Be patient and gentle with yourself.

Sending you love.

With gratitude,
Kimber

THE PRACTICE OF SMILING.

There are hundreds of muscles in your face and every time you breathe in and out and smile, tension is released. Then, there is relaxation. Try it.

You may ask why you should smile when you have no joy. You do not need joy in order to smile; you can smile and feel relief right away.

SOMETIMES JOY IS THE CAUSE OF YOUR SMILE; SOMETIMES YOUR SMILE IS THE CAUSE OF YOUR JOY.

Whenever you can, practice breathing in and out. In time, you will calm yourself and your smile will become real.

WHEN WE PRACTICE PEACE AND ARE ABLE TO SMILE, OUR PEACE CAN INFLUENCE THE WHOLE UNIVERSE.

Be patient and gentle with yourself.

Sending you love.

With gratitude,
Kimber

Communication -

Part of owning our power is learning to communicate clearly, directly, and assertively. We don't have to adjust our conversations in an attempt to control the reactions of others. Guilt-producing comments only produce more guilt. We don't have to fix or take care of people with our words and we can't expect others to take care of us with their words either. We can respectfully listen to what others have to say and we can settle for being heard and accepted.

Hinting at what we need doesn't work. Others cannot read our mind and they're likely to resent our indirectness. The best way to take responsibility for what we want is to ask for it directly and we can insist on directness from others. If we need to say "No" to a particular request, we can. If someone is trying to control us through a conversation, we can refuse to participate.

Acknowledging feelings directly, instead of making others guess our feelings or having our feelings come out in other ways, is part of responsible communication. If we don't know what we want to say, we can say that too.

We can ask for information and use words to forge a closer connection. We can say what we want, day what we mean, mean what we say and stop when we're done.

Do your best to practice clear communication. By communication clearly and directly in your conversations with others you will be striving to avoid manipulative, indirect, or guilt-producing statements. Be tactful and gentle whenever possible and be assertive when necessary.

Be patient and gentle with yourself, friends.

Please reach out any time.
Sending you love.
I'm here for you.

Sincerely,
Kimber

Every moment offers a choice to repeat familiar patterns or to step into something new.

Growth happens when we break free from the past and embrace the unknown with awareness and intention.

The future isn't waiting; it's unfolding through the choices we make now. Choose growth. Choose possibility.

Share a moment when you broke free from an old way of thinking.

What shifted for you?

How did it change your path?

Gentle people, gentle souls, go in love.

Sincerely,
Kimber
