Dyspareunia: the fancy word meaning pain with s*xual in*******se. This is fairly common, but you do not have to live with this. Pelvic Health PTs are often successful in helping with unwanted pain during s*x. If you’re experiencing any pain or discomfort with s*xual in*******se, please feel to reach out to us. We can also help with arousal & climax difficulties as well.

We’re here to support you like your pelvic floor💚

Are you pooping correctly?💩

Positioning on the toilet can be really helpful for completely eliminating f***s.

Here are some helpful tips:
- elevate your feet on a step stool or
- exhale as you ‘bear down’ as if you were blowing out birthday candles
- do not hold your breath or strain

Remember to eat lots of fruits & vegetables and drink plenty of water throughout the day. Exercise is very helpful too!

Pelvic health PT can help with pelvic floor dysfunction that may be leading to difficulty with bowel movements

Stress can have an impact on our pelvic and abdominal function, so seeking stress management techniques and/or considering psychotherapy may also be beneficial.

Are you having constipation or any bowel irregularities or f***l leakage? Reach out to us!

We’re here to support you like your pelvic floor 💚

💚Pregnancy💚
Pregnancy is a beautiful thing. How increíble is it that humans with vulvas get to create a human, grow a human, and deliver them into this world. Pretty spectacular! It is also a lot of hard work to create a human and delivery one.

💚Are you pregnant? Are you experiencing:
- pelvic pain
- p***c bone pain
- low back pain
- sacral pain
- tailbone pain
- hip pain
- back pain/neck pain
- urinary leakage
- constipation
- prolapse
- dyspareunia (pain with s*x)
- any other different sensation pop up since conception?

💚Or maybe you just want to get to know your pelvic floor a little better before birth? We can help with that, as well as pelvic floor relaxation which can really aid with delivery 🥰

We’re here to support you like your pelvic floor 💕

Insta Vs. Reality Mondays
Dr. Kristen living Chumbawamba’s song to the fullest. Rollerblading has taught me a thing or two about getting knocked down, and so has 2021. As a PT I was unhappy not being able to treat the way I wanted to treat or spend the time that my patients needed. Thus the start of desert healing and pelvic health the getting back up!
I love being a pelvic health physical therapist because I enjoy watching patients realize their potential in reaching goals and I love discussing things related to bowel/bladder/s*xual function.
When I’m not treating at Rooted I love to cook, run, read, rollerblade, and lift weights.
Fun fact: Dr. Kristen is currently training for a sprint triathlon and learning how to create stained glass.
