Cold plunges aren't just trendy, they're a powerful tool for healing.

Our residents use this space to practice distress tolerance, regulate their nervous systems, and build the mental toughness that supports lasting recovery. Paired with our sauna, it's become one of the most popular wellness amenities on campus.

The best part? This entire space was donated by a former client who wanted to give back. Recovery in the community creates ripples that keep giving.

Physical wellness isn't separate from mental health. When we move our bodies, we release stress, rebuild trust in ourselves, and create healthy routines that support long-term recovery.

At Sabino Recovery, our residents rediscover the joy of movement through hiking the Sonoran Desert trails, yoga sessions, fitness classes, pickleball, and activities that remind them their bodies are worth caring for.

Meet Lucky!

He's our mustang born in the White Mountains and trained as a therapy horse. Lucky joined Sabino Recovery in 2019 and he supports our equine therapy program with his big personality and genuine curiosity on trail rides, helping clients connect, heal, and grow.

Lukcy's mom, Tomboy, is also a therapy horse at Sabino and we've kept them together so that they work alongside each other ❤️

These clinicians came together to explore how neuroscience-informed interventions like the Safe and Sound Protocol (SSP) and Deep Brain Reorienting (DBR) can address attachment trauma at the subcortical level.

This was a room full of providers committed to deeper, more integrated healing for their clients.

A true gentle soul with the personality of a golden retriever 🐶

Softy retired from roping in 2023 and joined us at Sabino soon after. The name Softy was chosen by Thomas (one of our owners) with help from his son, and it couldn’t be more fitting!
