Yes, time is finite, but sometimes we get a small gift of time, as with last night’s end of daylight saving.

Don’t forget that along with the clocks in our home, our body clocks also need to adjust.

One way to speed that along is to get outdoor light in the morning, since sunlight helps regulate our circadian rhythms.

You reach a point where you stop craving constant noise, chaos, and busyness. You just want peace, plants, and a bit of sunshine. There’s something grounding about a slow, simple life, tending to the same space every day and realising happiness was never hiding somewhere else, it was right here all along.

I used to think peace was something I had to find, but it turns out it’s something I create. A slow morning, a bit of watering, time to just exist without rushing. It doesn’t need to be perfect, it just needs to feel like this.

Welcome!

Hello and welcome! I'm Raphaela. I'm passionate about bringing awareness, clarity, health, and aliveness into the often messy process of daily life. I also love to help make people's lives easier. This is what inspired me to create Healthier Homelife, a full-spectrum home organization and personal coaching company based on the integration of Maslow's hierarchy of needs, applied and functional psychology, and practical help.

The idea for this business began three years ago when I was applying to graduate schools to become a psychotherapist. During the application process, I put up a flyer at a local gym and grocery store with a list of things I could do for busy, stressed-out people. Within a week, my phone started ringing off the hook. I found many people were overwhelmed, needed help multiple tasks, and didn't even know where to start.

I immediately felt alive and joyful using my skills and capacities to fill a real need. I also realized I could help bring clarity to a person's mental outlook, health, and well-being by starting with the basics and building a strong foundation. For the first two years, I did everything myself and loved it. However, over time I expanded and now have thirteen amazing people working with me -- five cleaners, three organizers, two chefs, a personal trainer, a health coach, and a life coach. We love working together and are all dedicated to our respective crafts.

It is much easier for us to live in alignment with our deepest truth and express our gifts in the world when we are grounded, have a solid plan and vision, and are equiped with the proper knowledge, tools, and community support. However, I know how difficult it can be for all of those things to come together. I also know how it feels to be stressed out and overwhelmed by various life circumstances, which is why I find it rewarding to help people navigate and relieve that burden. I love to be an advoate for people and help them achieve the results then want, while also bringing sensitivity to their situation.
