Southern Arizona Placement and Referral Alliance

We are the Southern Arizona chapter of NPRA. We strengthen ethical standards, unite professionals, and support families navigating senior care.

We educate, connect, and advocate for quality, transparency, and Family Choice in every placement. The Senior Placement & Referral industry remains largely unregulated, without mandatory licensing or oversight by a governing body. Families often ask, “How do we find a reputable agency to help us through the challenging process of finding a home for our senior or disabled loved one?”

NPRA (National Placement & Referral Alliance) steps in to provide guidance and standards by:

- Defining a clear scope of practice for the Senior Referral Industry across the country.
- Establishing, promoting, and advocating for minimum ethical standards and best practices.
- Providing resources to help families find senior referral providers who adhere to NPRA's high standards of conduct. NPRA’s Best Practices ensure that placement professionals operate with integrity, providing families the confidence to make informed decisions. Our members voluntarily uphold these standards to protect, educate, and serve the public, fostering trust in senior living placements.

Owner and Certified Senior Advisor of CarePatrol of East Tucson

Meet Karina Felix, the heart behind CarePatrol of East Tucson! 🌟 Born in Nogales, AZ, and a Tucson resident for 16 years, she’s dedicated her life to serving those in need with compassion and integrity.

With degrees in Elementary Education and an MBA, Karina combines her passion with expertise to make a real difference in the lives of families. She is committed to ensuring that every family feels supported and cared for, treating their loved ones like her own.

At CarePatrol, Karina helps seniors and their families navigate the often overwhelming process of finding the right care options—be it Independent Living, Assisted Living, Memory Care, or In-Home Care. Her approach is personalized; she listens closely to understand each client’s unique needs before making recommendations.

Karina is proud to support NPRA, which champions integrity and advocacy in Senior Placement. She believes every family deserves guidance and transparency from professionals who prioritize seniors' well-being.

When she’s not working, Karina is a proud mom to a 23-year-old nursing student 💙. You might also catch her jogging with her four furry friends—Chula, Valentino, Gaia, and Cassie 🐾—or making lasting memories with her family.

Meet Alia Yasin, our dedicated Strategy & Operations Manager at Sonoran Senior Solutions! 🌟 With over 20 years in healthcare, Alia is on a mission to ensure that everyone receives the right care at the right time and in the right way.

Her extensive experience covers clinical operations, case management, and system navigation, bringing clarity and compassion to those navigating life's toughest transitions. From leading clinical teams at Oscar Medical Group to providing intensive case management for vulnerable populations with the Jewish Board of Family & Children’s Services, Alia has truly seen it all.

As a Certified Dementia Practitioner (CDP) and Certified Case Manager (CCM), she combines deep clinical knowledge with a strong ethical compass in every case. Now at Sonoran Senior Solutions, Alia empowers older adults and their families to explore senior living options with confidence, clarity, and dignity. She’s especially passionate about educating families and breaking down barriers in the care decision-making process.

When she's not helping families or collaborating with the SoAPRA Board, you'll find Alia enjoying a walk with her rescue pup Thumbalina 🐾, solving the NYT Connections puzzle, or getting lost in a great book. 📚
