Parents: you have probably been the financial safety net for a long time.
Part of what Pivot Transitional Living builds in young men is the ability to stop needing that safety net.
Our residents work with case managers who help them set employment goals, build a budget, open a bank account they manage themselves, and take incremental steps toward full financial independence throughout their time in the program. By the time a resident graduates, the goal is that he is contributing to his own life in a concrete way, financially and vocationally.
You deserve to stop being the last line of defense. And he deserves to become the first one.
