Parents: you have probably been the financial safety net for a long time.

Part of what Pivot Transitional Living builds in young men is the ability to stop needing that safety net.

Our residents work with case managers who help them set employment goals, build a budget, open a bank account they manage themselves, and take incremental steps toward full financial independence throughout their time in the program. By the time a resident graduates, the goal is that he is contributing to his own life in a concrete way, financially and vocationally.

You deserve to stop being the last line of defense. And he deserves to become the first one.

There is a difference between being sober and being in recovery.

Sober is a state. Recovery is a practice. A community.

The 12-step model, whatever your prior experience with it, is one of the most extensively studied frameworks for building that kind of community infrastructure around a person in early recovery. Decades of longitudinal research support its effectiveness particularly when combined with clinical treatment, which is exactly how we use it at Pivot.

We are a clinically sophisticated aftercare program that integrates 12-step immersion as a core pillar because both the data and our outcomes tell us that combination works better than either alone.

Your son will have a therapist. And a sponsor. A clinical team. And a home group. Individual treatment goals. And a service position in the recovery community.

He will not have to choose between clinical support and community. He will have both. Woven together. From the day he arrives.

There is a version of recovery where you spend 90 days doing everything right and then walk out into the world and watch it slowly unravel.

Pivot Transitional Living was designed specifically to prevent that version of the story.

Our phase-based program structure incrementally reduces the level of support and increases the level of independence over the course of a resident's stay. Early phases are highly structured, with daily check-ins, supervised activities, and close clinical contact. Later phases involve more resident-driven scheduling, independent employment, self-managed finances, and preparation for the specific transition out of program and into the next chapter.

By graduation, independence is not a shock. It is a practiced skill with a track record attached to it.
The first 6 to 12 months after treatment are the highest-risk window in a young man's recovery. Our program is designed to make those months count.

We would love to show you what that looks like in detail. Call today: 520-675-4082

Service is one of the most under-utilized tools in early recovery.

A young man comes into Pivot fresh out of treatment. He is still figuring out who he is without substances. His self-concept is fragile and the future feels shapeless.

Then he gets a home group and takes a service position. He starts setting up chairs, greeting newcomers, making coffee.

He becomes the person someone else looks to when they walk in anxious and uncertain for the first time. He realizes he has something to offer. That his presence in a room means something to someone else.

That shift is one of the most reliable catalysts for long-term recovery outcomes in young adult populations. It is also one of the hardest things to manufacture artificially. It has to happen in a real community with real stakes.

Tucson's 12-step community gives our residents that. We make sure they are inside it from day one.

Most college students who struggle with substance use face a version of the same impossible choice.

Go back to campus and try to stay sober in the same environment that accelerated the problem. Or take time away, lose academic momentum, and try to re-enter a year or two behind, with no support structure in place.

Pivot Transitional Living exists to offer a third option.

Our Collegiate Recovery Campus in Tucson is designed for college-age young men who want to pursue serious academic work while building a sustainable foundation in sobriety. Residents attend the University of Arizona or Pima Community College, live in a structured, sober environment, and receive the clinical support, 12-step mentorship, and peer community that makes academic success in early recovery realistic.

You do not have to choose between your education and your recovery. At Pivot, they are the same goal.

If you or your son is navigating that impossible choice right now, give us a call. 520-675-4082

Tucson has traffic and jobs and college classes and grocery stores and temptation and beauty and opportunity and all the messy, complicated parts of adult life.

And our residents live inside all of it, with support, rather than trying to figure it all out on their own.

Young men in early recovery need to practice walking through real life scenarios before they are released into them unsupported. Tucson gives them a real world to practice in. Pivot gives them the scaffold to do it safely.

By the time a resident graduates from our program, Tucson has become familiar. The recovery community knows him. He knows his way around. He has a job or a school routine. He has options.

That is what a good transitional living program produces: a young man who is ready for what comes next, not just surviving it.

Most sober living programs hand you a curfew and a list of chores.

Pivot Transitional Living hands you a roadmap.

Our program is built on four distinct pillars of recovery, each one addressing something that the research says young men in early recovery actually need to succeed long-term.

At Pivot Transitional Living, we help guys bridge the gap between who they were and who they want to be.

Our guys live, work, and go to school in a structured environment designed to challenge, support, and help them build a concrete sense of who they are outside of their old behaviors.

Clinical support. Peer community. Life skills. Real accountability. A city that gives them somewhere to practice it all.

This is what the next step looks like when it is done right.

Getting sober is the starting point. What you build from there, the career, the education, the relationships, the identity, is what recovery is all about.

Pivot residents aren’t just attending meetings and checking boxes. They are taking college classes, applying for jobs, learning how to manage a bank account, building friendships, and figuring out what kind of person they want to be.

And when they leave Pivot, they leave with more than sobriety. They leave with a plan, a skill set, a network, and the confidence to use all of it.

That is the Pivot difference.
