Posterior Deltoids aka Rear Delts!

4 Sets/12-15 rep range

Most people think of the rear lat raise as strictly a shoulder exercise, but it’s actually the same movement as a row, only you’re not bending your elbows as you lift the weight. Rear delts get the most activation in a back workout than in a shoulder workout

Located at the back of the shoulder and upper arm, it enables us to laterally rotate and extend our arms.

Rear delts help to keep an upright posture so that you’re not hunched over and are also activated in movements like reverse flys where the arms are moving behind the body. Stronger rear delts also enhance the power of your shoulders by providing more stability and power in your overhead lifts. What’s more, is they can also boost your body weight dips and pull-ups.

More muscle also means muscle lowering the risking of rotator cuff injuries

1. Dumbbell Rear Lateral Raise
*Your back should be naturally arched & arms slightly bent. Set your feet shoulder width apart, keep your torso lifted, and don’t change the bend in your elbows.

2. Single Arm Cable Rear Delt Fly
*Keeping elbows pointed high, pull cable out to side, maintaining fixed elbow position throughout exercise.

3. Single Arm Low Cable Rear Lateral Raise
*Keep your back naturally arched and keep your torso still as you raise your arms. Do not change the bend in your elbows.

4. Incline Rear Delt Y Raise
*The thumb side of your hands should point up, and palms should be facing each other
