We are only about a month away from going back to school after months of our kids being off and in quarantine.

As they start going back out in public, and to school... we are basically reintroducing them to germs they haven’t been around in a while.

I’m making sure to jump on boosting their immune systems before we go back, especially with having an immune compromised little one at home who has a hard time fighting off even our basic cold.

Elderberry Syrup is one of our daily immune boosters we use... we pair it with Vitamin C tablets and it works wonders.

With all these restrictions we are facing, it is vital for our kids (and us) to remain healthy so that we can continue to be at work and school.

When one is sick.... we ALL up our doses and take elderberry multiple times a day. We’ve almost gone through a whole jar within two days! Beau barely had his first dose a couple of days ago. A lot of people ask me if kids like it or how it tastes. It has an indescribable taste and the first time I made it... I didn’t like it. But the more and more I make it, I try to find new ways to make it MORE beneficial and more enjoyable. I can officially say I ENJOY it. I think Beau does too!

Did you know that elderberries can be toxic if eaten raw? Crazy right?! No worries! When boiled for the correct amount of time, it gets rid of that toxicity and gives you a beautiful natural remedy for cold and flu viruses and provides amazing nutritional aspects for your body when taken on a day to day basis.

Did you know that one of the processes of making your syrup is letting the elderberry fully cool? With larger batches, this can take more than a few hours! Why must I do this? If I add honey too soon to a warm batch, it can take away some of the vital nutrients that the honey provides!
