Happy Registered Dietitian Day!!😁🤸🏾‍♀️🥳

It’s been a long but great day! I feel so loved and grateful that I get to do what I do!! Huge thank you to for the sweetest RD Day surprise including the cutest baggie that literally says “Jamie Loves Almonds.” How presh is that?!🥹

Prezzie box also included almond snacks, a nut/spice grinder (can’t wait to use that) and even almond hand lotion for a little self-care! Truly thankful to be living my dream as a Registered Dietitian and helping people heal their relationship with food.

Shout out to all the dietitians out there changing lives one bite at a time 💯.

Also… you’ll have to watch the video to understand why I confidently thought the bag letters would be backwards. Turns out cameras work exactly how they’re supposed to😆.

I just spent a week taste-testing my way through one of the biggest food expos in the country… and my dietitian heart LOVED every minute of it🥰. Recently got back from Natural Products Expo West and my brain (and suitcase) is full of food finds!

I spent the week meeting amazing brands, tasting new products, and discovering some seriously creative flavors from companies working hard to make better-for-you foods that still taste great. As a dietitian, I love being able to sort through the noise and bring you the products that are both enjoyable and backed by good nutrition.
Also, major credit to my sidekick (aka my husband) who walked every single vendor booth aisle with me like a champ. Taste tester, bag carrier, moral support, you name it😆😍.

I had the best time and can’t wait to start sharing some of the things I discovered.
Let the taste-testing begin!

The afterglow of a beautiful morning still sitting with me.
I’m so grateful for the time shared at the Annual Women’s Brunch with . Especially the conversations, the laughter, the thoughtful questions, and the opportunity to sit alongside such incredible women in healthcare.

There’s something powerful about being in a room full of women who care deeply about their communities and are dreaming forward into a new year of wellness, growth, and purpose. To everyone I met and connected with, thank you for the warmth, the encouragement, and the inspiration. I’m carrying this energy with me into the year ahead🥹.

I was truly honored to be invited as a speaker for the Annual Women’s Brunch hosted by the Epsilon Omega Sigma Chapter of Sigma Gamma Rho Sorority, Inc. alongside an incredible panel of passionate healthcare professionals. What a beautiful morning of learning, laughter, thoughtful questions, and genuine connection.

Thank you to every amazing woman I had the privilege of meeting and sharing space with. So many of you spoke life into future collaborations, events, and community projects, and my heart is absolutely full.

Getting evidence-based nutrition information into our communities is the work I love and today was a powerful reminder of exactly why.

Let’s keep building. Together. 🫶🏾

I love nutrition buzz and ever since the new 2025-2030 Dietary Guidelines dropped, there has been BIG nutrition energy in the air 👀.

During times like these it’s important to make sure you’re not skipping decades of research for popular trends. Reminder: Higher intakes of saturated fat are strongly linked to increase risk of cardiovascular disease and fiber in whole grains plays a role in reducing this risk!

The Academy of Nutrition & Dietetics shared a thoughtful response celebrating the push for more whole, nutrient-dense foods, while also pointing out that some recommendations raise questions and may not work well for everyone in real life.

And that’s the part I always want to highlight:
“Nutrition is NEVER one-size-fits-all.” Say it with me until you believe it!

These guidelines are meant for population health, but your body, culture, health history, goals, preferences, and season of life matter way more than any one document.

That’s why working with a Registered Dietitian Nutritionist is the gold standard for evidence-based, personalized nutrition. We help translate all this “nutrition noise” into something that actually fits your life.
