Life update 🤍

Towards the end of 2025, I felt a strong call to take a sabbatical from midwifery. At the time, I didn’t fully understand why. Things just started shifting, and I found myself asking God what was going on. Now being in 2026, I can see it more clearly.

This sabbatical has been deeply needed.

For those who don’t follow me on Facebook, the start of this year has been heavy in ways I could have never prepared for. On New Year’s Day, I tragically lost my baby brother to su***de. At the end of January, my great grandmother transitioned.

Baby Charles spent 5 days in the hospital after contracting E. coli. Then three days after he was released, I was the one back at that same hospital by ambulance. My hands and legs completely locked up, my face swelled, and I felt like I had been hit by a bus. I later found out I had Flu B and was released the same day.

I truly feel like I lived an entire lifetime in the first two months of this year.

But God.

My verse for this year is Psalm 126:5. “Those who sow in tears shall reap in joy.” And I am already seeing Him begin to turn things around.

I turned 30 on March 19th and was able to celebrate surrounded by my village and community, which meant everything to me.

I’m still in a season of healing, but I’m also in a season of becoming. And I trust what God is doing, even when it doesn’t make sense in the moment.

I miss midwifery so much, but this time away is being well spent. 🤍

After much prayer and reflection, I’ve happily decided to take a sabbatical from midwifery. This season is calling me to rest, reset, and pour back into the parts of myself that I’ve so freely given to others.

To all the families who have trusted me with your care and your most sacred moments — thank you. You’ve each left an imprint on my heart that will always stay with me.

This isn’t goodbye — just a pause for a peace, renewal and deeper purpose.

Midwife vs. Doula 👩🏾‍🍼✨
The midwife guides the baby.
The doula holds the mother.
Different roles. Same sacred work.

I come in peace. May this reach whoever it is intended for.

✨ The Oklahoma Women’s Luncheon was such a beautiful experience! ✨

I had the honor of being the keynote speaker and sharing on how we can care for the whole woman — from reproductive and hormonal health, to mental, emotional, spiritual well-being, and practical steps to help us truly take charge of our health. 🙌🏽

I’m so grateful for the opportunity to pour into other women — and equally grateful for how they poured back into me. 💛 The energy, the stories, the sisterhood — it was powerful.

A huge thank you to for inviting me and for hosting such an intentional and uplifting event. Can’t wait for the next one! 🌸
