🧠💪 "Why does my baby need an occupational therapist? They don’t even have a job!" 😂
We get this one all the time — and it’s a great question!
👶 Occupational Therapy (OT) for little ones (ages 0–3) is all about helping them do the jobs of being a baby and toddler — things like:
✅ Sitting up
✅ Holding a spoon
✅ Exploring toys
✅ Crawling, reaching, playing, calming down, and more!
Think of OTs as developmental detectives 🕵️♀️ who help kiddos master the skills they need for everyday life — even the ones that look like just plain fun. 🎨🧩
💡 Early intervention helps us catch delays early, support sensory needs, and build strong foundations for learning and independence.
If you’ve noticed:
🔸 Your baby avoids tummy time
🔸 Your toddler melts down with certain textures or sounds
🔸 Motor skills seem harder than they should be
— it might be time to chat with an OT. And guess what? OT is often play-based, movement-filled, and full of joy. (Yes, we do swing, bounce, and crash into pillows for a reason!) 😄
📣 Early help = better outcomes. Let’s give kids the tools they need to grow, explore, and thrive!
