A fan just tweeted this to me.. 3 years ago to the day. What a wake up call.. I'd be lying if I didn't say it shook me up..to see it.. To be reminded..

This feeling, this moment.. When I posted this in relation to abruptly leaving Australia cancelling a string of shows and commitments.. I had hit a rock bottom.. I couldn't find happiness anywhere except my dogs face and even that wasn't enough. I thought I had failed at being a human, being an adult.

I didn't know what to do so I left for America to work with trauma therapists and I spent pretty much all the money I had made in my life on an overpriced rehab and a lot of therapy. ( There are definitely other ways to do it ) ... I slept on a blow up mattress when I got my first apartment in Santa Monica, I adopted a dog before I furnished my place 😑 .. My dog, Ru, had a bed before me...

I don't want to ramble on, I'm just feeling reflective because I chose to fight and I thought it meant I'd be able to live. I DIDNT think it meant I'd be able to live my dream. I DIDNT think it would result in this extraordinary life I get to be a part of now... It just makes me wonder how many others are days, hours, seconds away from realizing their worth.. Their potential.. And once the dark cloud is lifted will be truly happy and free..

Here's something to think about this April fools day -
Pranks are supposed to be funny .. Maybe slightly scary . never hurtful or detrimental to someone . women all over the world ache from the loss of a child, or the inability to have one. I read what The Vintage Doll - Emily Doll had to say on this topic , and I completely agree and found the thought to be beyond wise . to loosely quote her - it takes a big person to be respectful of someone else's feelings .

It's that dreaded time of year again: April Fool's Day is just around the corner and the trickiest of the tricksters are already rubbing their hands together with mischievous glee plotting this year's pranks. Every year on social media — Facebook especially — I see fake pregnancy announcements

Guys , I'm gonna be honest .. sometimes our biggest bullies are ourselves . I've been fighting a bit of a funk if you will .. I had a life changing experience getting a job I really loved , and lost it at my first mistake . It was a hard lesson , and I wanted to shut down and continue to focus on my failure - that's just not an option ! Just like it's not an option for someone else to make me feel like Sh*t about myself !

So much love to this young soul !
As much as we need bonds and friends as children, we don't all make those friendships and bonds at a young age ... Thank goodness he has his wonderful mother ! I hope he has a truly awesome summer , and takes life by storm ! Those that deserve his friendship will come ♡

"Hi, I'm hoping you can take a moment to please read and share my story about my son, Jamesen.

My 12 year old son came home from school last week absolutely devastated because NOT ONE CHILD signed his yearbook during yearbook signing. Every single one refused.

A couple of weeks before this my son had stood up to a group of kids, including his own friends (he only has a couple), who were bullying another child, and so he became a target.

My heart breaks for him. I want him to look at his yearbook and feel loved and special, instead of sad and alone. I want him to know that the kind hearted, sweet, caring person that he is is adored and appreciated. I don't want this cruel game played by a bunch of children to change him.

So I'm asking that people please write an encouraging note or a happy picture and send it to my son, so that we can take them and fill his yearbook with positive things. "

Seth Lane is a 5 year old who was born without an immune system and has had to live a large part of his life in isolation. He's having his gallbladder removed and then will be undgoing chemotherapy until he can get a life saving bone marrow treatment.

He's a strong kid - who often struggles with how different he is. Let's give this amazing kid some love so we can show that we love him just as he is!
