Today, we had the privilege of joining the Tunkhannock Rotary Club for one of their weekly meetings.

During our visit, we had the opportunity to share information about the CPR, AED, and First Aid training services offered by Jump Start Training, as well as discuss the importance of empowering community members with lifesaving skills. It was a great conversation about how preparedness and education can make a real difference when emergencies happen.

Beyond the presentation, I was fortunate to spend time getting to know the members of the Rotary Club and learning more about the incredible work they do throughout our community. Their commitment to service, leadership, and giving back is truly inspiring.

Organizations like the Tunkhannock Rotary Club are a reminder of what makes our community such a special place to live. Countless individuals volunteer their time, talents, and resources to support others and strengthen our county.

This Memorial Day, we pause to honor and remember the brave men and women who made the ultimate sacrifice for our freedom.

We are incredibly grateful to AllOne Charities for their recent grant award supporting the 2026/2027 First Responders Clubs in Wyoming County schools! 🚑❤️

This funding will help continue a program that is making a real impact in our community by engaging students in life-saving skills and exposing them to the importance of emergency services at an early age. In rural communities like ours, EMS is critical, and helping address workforce and volunteer shortages while building awareness among our youth is more important than ever.

Through this initiative, students may have the opportunity to learn valuable certifications and skills such as CPR, First Aid, AED use, and emergency response awareness throughout the upcoming school year.

On behalf of the Wyoming County Community Health Foundation and Jump Start Training LLC thank you, AllOne, for believing in this important work and continuing to invest in the future of community health and emergency response in Wyoming County!

We would like to extend a huge thank you to the Northern Tier Regional Planning and Development Commission for not only giving us the opportunity to compete in last week’s Rural and Rooted Pitch Competition, but also for selecting us as one of the winners! 🏆

This competition brought together several local small businesses and entrepreneurs to showcase their businesses and ideas for a chance to receive grant funding. We were honored to participate and grateful for the opportunity to attend the Entrepreneur Summit, where we gained valuable insight, tips, and tools for growing a small business.

This award will allow us to upgrade our current equipment and expand into more communities, giving us the opportunity to train even more individuals, community organizations, and businesses.

We are incredibly thankful for this support and excited for what’s ahead!

We are so grateful for the partnerships that we have made and opportunity to be a part of training our next generation of first responders. Without these young folks putting in the effort and getting involved the current challenges we face wouldn’t stand a chance of improving. Many of these students wish to volunteer and or work in emergency service or health care fields when they graduate. Learning these skills now helps prepare them to take on that task and secure the future of these services in our communities.

A heartfelt THANK YOU to the Wawa Foundation for their recent grant supporting the Tunkhannock Area First Responders Club! Because of your generosity, students are gaining hands-on training and certification in CPR, First Aid, and AED. These are lifesaving skills that make a real difference in our community!

As we wrap up an incredible year with over 33 students participating, we are incredibly proud of all that has been accomplished and even more excited for what lies ahead!

A special thank you to Jump Start Training LLC for recognizing a need in our community and helping meet it by providing these essential trainings and skills not only to our students, but to the community as a whole. 👏

Looking to next year, we plan to expand not only at Tunkhannock but also into additional schools across Wyoming County…stay tuned for more on that!

On Thursday we got to spend time with some members from the Tunkhannock Area Recreation Association. This awesome group of individuals volunteered their time to learn life saving skills so that they are better prepared to help the children and families that attend their programs if needed.

Huge thank you to the Wyoming County Community Health Foundation - WCCHF for working with us to provide this training to this amazing group at no cost to them. The partnerships we've established are making it possible to reach deeper in our community. We are excited to see so many people reaching out and showing interest in learning these skills.
