Happy Valentine's Day! While we are always excited for chocolate covered strawberries, this "month of love" is also a reminder to slow down and SEE people the way God sees them.

When someone walks into the Center, we prioritize seeing them first, listening to their story, and creating space for them to breathe. What a gift it is to truly be seen by someone; even more so by the Creator of the Universe who is called El Roi, "the God who sees me."

As we celebrate Valentine' Day (and Galentine's Day) and reflect on Black History Month, let us remember this: we love because God first loved us. Go out and SEE someone today!

Dear friends, since God so loved us, we also ought to love one another. No one has ever seen God; but if we love one another, God lives in us and his love is made complete in us. (1 John 4:11-12 NIV)
