💭 The Daycare Dilemma: How Rising Costs Are Impacting Families
For generations, middle-income families have been the foundation of our communities,working hard, raising children, and contributing to the strength of our local economy. But for many, the soaring cost of childcare has become an impossible burden.
In a recent Turlock Journal editorial, Jeffrey Lewis, President & CEO of LHE, and Dr. Alice Tang, co-founder of Sunny Grove Daycare, highlight how families and childcare providers alike are struggling to stay afloat—and how a new local partnership aims to make a difference.
Through a childcare subsidy pilot program with Sunny Grove Preschool and Childcare, LHE will help cover 50% of tuition costs for 20 local families, a big step toward easing financial strain and strengthening the well-being of parents and children alike.
