Hypertensive disorders affect nearly 1 in 7 pregnancies in the United States, and cardiovascular conditions remain a leading cause of pregnancy related deaths, with many of these complications occurring during the postpartum period.
In states like Alabama, where rural hospital closures and limited maternal healthcare access continue to widen gaps in care, preventative monitoring can literally save lives.
That’s why I’m committed to providing blood pressure cuffs and health journals for mamas to use at home. Early monitoring, documentation, and awareness empower women to advocate for themselves, especially when access to competent care isn’t guaranteed.
Preventative care matters. Monitoring matters. Access matters.
