WAWC Healthcare truly appreciates the opportunity to be guests on The Big Dawg DreDay Show in the Morning 🖤📻

We had an important conversation about our week of events for Black HIV/AIDS Awareness, observed annually on February 7th, and why this day matters so much.

Black HIV/AIDS Awareness Day is a time to pause, reflect, and take action. Black communities continue to be disproportionately impacted by HIV—not because of who we are, but because of long-standing inequities in access to healthcare, education, testing, and prevention resources. This day centers our voices, our experiences, and our right to equitable care.

It’s about breaking stigma, encouraging routine testing, increasing awareness of prevention tools, and reminding our community that knowing your status is an act of self-love and empowerment. It’s also a moment to honor those we’ve lost and recommit ourselves to supporting those living with HIV with dignity, compassion, and care.

S/O to Crystina Smith Hughes and The Courage Brand for stopping through the morning show today!

They giving away money yall!!!! All for getting a quick HIV/AIDS test. Details in the comments!

🖤 Black HIV/AIDS Awareness Week 🖤

WAWC Healthcare is hosting FREE HIV testing this week in honor of Black HIV/AIDS Awareness. Knowing your status is a powerful act of self-care and community care.

HIV testing matters because early detection saves lives. When people know their status, they can access treatment sooner, live long and healthy lives, and reduce the spread of HIV. Testing also helps break stigma, open conversations, and normalize prioritizing our health—especially in Black communities that are disproportionately impacted.

As a thank-you for choosing your health, you will receive a $25 Walmart gift card after testing. 💙

Your health matters. Your life matters. Your community matters.
Come get tested, get informed, and take control of your health today.
