If you are attending the NBHA AL02 Race that has now been rescheduled to Friday, January 17, 2024 and you are wanting your horse LARC Tested, you need to contact me either via text (205) 657-0143 or DM. (If you have already spoken with me and have completed your waiver then I will see you Friday!)

🏇 What is Lactic Acid?
Lactic Acid is a chemical produced in the body when cells break down carbohydrates for energy, especially when oxygen levels are low. When your horse works hard, especially during intense exercise, or a run, their muscles produce lactic acid as a byproduct of burning energy.
Short-Term Effects: Lactic acid build-up can cause muscle fatigue and soreness, slowing your horse down and making recovery harder.
Over Time: Repeated lactic acid build-up without proper recovery can lead to chronic muscle stiffness and even performance issues.
LARC TEST measures the lactic acid build up in the horses blood 5 minutes and 20 minutes after a workout or run to see how well they are recovering and storing lactic acid. Using this information we can develop a conditioning plan to help you horse gain speed, and reduce risk of injury!
