Unite for Reproductive and Gender Equity UA URGE UA is a student organization at UA. We work to advocate for sexual and reproductive justice on the local, state, and national levels.

Unite for Reproductive and Gender Equity (URGE) UA is a student organization at the University of Alabama that meets at least once a week on a variety of reproductive justice issues. We utilize peer-to-peer education to ensure everyone is informed about their bodies, sex, sexuality, gender (identity and expression), healthy relationships, consent, abortion, contraception, healthcare, and much more

to ensure they have the knowledge, power, confidence, and access to resources to make healthy and informed choices about their bodies. We strive for an intersectional feminist framework to addressing RJ issues in our communities, which means we recognize the socio-historical and modern-day impacts of oppression and marginalization. We strive to deconstruct racism, sexism, ableism, heterosexism, cissexism, transphobia, homophobia, ageism, classism, and other biases in ourselves, our communities, and our institutions.
