Summer can be exciting for kids — but the loss of routine can also increase stress, anxiety, isolation, and emotional struggles for many teens.

☀️ Parent Tip for Summer:
Try to keep some structure in your child’s day.

Simple routines like:
✔ Consistent sleep schedules
✔ Daily movement or outdoor time
✔ Limited screen time
✔ Family meals
✔ Regular check-ins

can make a big difference in your teen’s mental health and emotional well-being.

Summer does not have to mean doing everything perfectly , but small moments of connection matter most.

Sometimes weekly therapy is not enough — and extra support can make all the difference.

Turning Point Center for Change is excited to introduce our new Best Life Teen & Adult Online IOP program.

Our Online Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP) provides structured support, skill-building, and connection while allowing clients to stay at home, attend school, work, and continue daily life.

Clients can continue working with their regular therapist at Turning Point Center for Change while receiving additional support through our IOP program. If you or someone you know may need more support than weekly therapy alone, we are here to help.

We work collaboratively with therapists, families, and providers to help everyone stay informed and supported throughout treatment.

May is Mental Health Awareness Month 💚

Some days feel heavier than others—and that’s part of being human.

Like waves, emotions come and go.

Give yourself time. The hard moments won’t last forever.

Quick counseling tip from Caroline 💙

Be yourself.

The more honest you are about what you enjoy, what you don’t, and what actually helps, the better we can support you.

There’s no pressure to say the “right” thing in therapy. Just say what’s real.

We only know what you share with us and that’s how we learn how to help.

April is Stress Awareness Month 🧠

When anxiety starts to spiral, it can feel like everything is out of your control.

But not everything is.

One of the most powerful ways to calm your mind is to shift your focus back to what you can control—and gently let go of what you can’t.

This simple tool can help you feel more grounded, even in overwhelming moments.

- Or go back one post and listen to our counselor Jacqueline talk about the circle of control.

When anxiety starts spiraling, everything can feel out of control.

One simple shift? Focus on what is in your control. 🌀

In this video, our counselor Jacqueline walks through the “circle of control” — helping you separate what you can change, what you can influence, and what you need to let go of.

It’s a small mindset shift that can make a big difference when anxiety takes over.

💬 Save this for later or share it with someone who might need it today.
