True- when my healing partners (clients) start getting “new memories” about their past traumas. I explain that this is a good sign and that they are doing something right because their nervous system is feeling safer which allows the memories to resurface. A lot of times trauma survivors in the healing process feel like this flood of memories means they are getting worse because it can feel so overwhelming.
