✔️ We carry what we emotionally feel in our physical body.

✔️ Your body was present during your trauma, not just your mind, so if your therapy is just focused on mental healing, your body and soul (2/3 of you) is being left out of the process.

Counseling is BRAVE, and hard work at times. Knowing you are safe, supported and seen makes a BIG difference.

We see you as a whole person, and all parts of you are welcome here.

The top two reasons women end up in nursing homes are FRAGILITY and COGNITIVE DECLINE/ DEMENTIA.

Research suggests that activities like walking and strength-training can improve stability and mobility even as we age. A body in motion stays in motion.

Join fitness expert, David Fennell, CFSC at Living Well on Saturday, September 28th from 11-12:30 for a workshop designed to learn how body awareness can aid in reducing aches and pains. ⭐ At Living Well, we offer a holistic approach to counseling. Each therapist takes time to thoroughly understand each client so we can best walk alongside them. We learn about their environment, relationships past and present, challenges and traumas, stressors, and the client’s physical condition.

⭐ Then we work together to determine the goals of therapy. We aim to approach the needs of each client holistically through therapies that engage mind, body, and soul.

Trauma can be one big thing that happened to you or the accumulation of many smaller things that shrink your window of tolerance, or your ability to respond appropriately to stress.

When we engage the body through movement, breath-work, and other self-regulation practices, we begin to remove the roadblocks and train our nervous system to find balance.

This is the beauty of holistic counseling. What the mind may not remember, the body does. Engaging the body may be one of the first steps to finding peace and balance.

Do you lose yourself in other people's needs or problems?

💫 At Living Well, we aim to approach the needs of each client holistically through therapies that engage mind, body, and soul.

💫 Holistic counseling is a form of healing that considers the whole person and emotions - seeking connection and balance - in the quest for optimal health and wellness. One of the goals of holistic counseling is to help a person gain a greater understanding of themselves and increase self-esteem and self-confidence.

💫 Each therapist takes time to thoroughly understand each client so we can best walk alongside them. We learn about their environment, relationships past and present, challenges and traumas, stressors, and the client’s physical condition. Then we work together to determine the goals of therapy.

Our bodies tell our stories, remembering what we have tried to suppress, or trauma that we don't even remember.

For every painful, heartbreaking experience you have endured your body has been there with you. So, it should come as no surprise that we live in a society with headaches, backaches, chronic pain and autoimmune conditions.

Our bodies are screaming at us. Enough is enough.

BUT, as you work with your counselor, coach or therapist, you may begin to notice a shift.
Better sleep
Less pain
No more upset stomach...

Your body can release the trauma it has carried for so long.
We'd love to walk with you on your journey to freedom and healing.

I read this beautiful quote today by .thema and I resonated so deeply with it!!!
I have so many clients that ask me- “how do I know if this person or that person is a good person to have in my life?” This is such a great thing to think through when assessing someone’s presence in your life.

Does this person ENCOURAGE you to be who you are growing in to, speaking value and life into you? Do they get excited about your dreams and aspirations?

Or.. Does this person PRESSURE you to be smaller, fit in a box, or shame your dreams and aspirations or even shame what makes you you?

What other things help you discern who should get access to you and who shouldn’t?
