⨠Who you have in your birth space matters. āØ
Labor is not a performance.
Itās not a show.
And you do not owe anyone access to one of the most vulnerable moments of your life.
Your body labors best when it feels safe, supported, and unobserved. When the room is filled with people you trust ā people who help you relax, breathe, and stay inward ā your body can focus on what it knows how to do.
On the flip side, feeling watched, judged, rushed, or needing to āhold it togetherā can:
⢠Increase tension
⢠Slow labor progress
⢠Make contractions feel more intense
⢠Pull you out of your body and into your head
Birth is primal. Instinctual. Private.
You are allowed to choose peace over people-pleasing.
š¤ Your birth space should feel:
⢠Calm
⢠Safe
⢠Supportive
⢠Free of expectations
You donāt need to entertain.
You donāt need to explain.
You donāt need to perform.
You just need to labor ā and be held through it.
Choose your birth team intentionally. Your body will thank you. ā¤ļø
