Springtime is for eggs! Chickens... ducks... you name it! We have 7 female ducks and are getting 6 to 7 eggs a day 😳 have you ever had duck eggs? I love them for baking as they add extra fluff to your baked goods! 🦆 Daisy is perfecting her little nest ❤️

Side story... Last year at a vendor show, I had a very nice lady ask if I made Lilac soap and I said yes! In the spring 🪻Maybe I'll see her again at an upcoming event 😊

Third yard and 2 for 2 here!! That means 8 out of 8 survived the winter and with flying colors! ❤️🐝❤️

These little ladies were bringing in so much nectar and pollen they could hardly get into the hive entrance with their heavy abdomens and pollen baskets 😆🤗🐝

What kind of honey harvest will I get this year? Any guesses? Last year was 700 pounds from 11 hives 🍯 I'll be splitting most of these, but there are always variables along the way... like this frost coming Sunday and Monday night 😢❄️ that tends to kill the early flower buds and slows production a little. But they got an amazing head start, so we'll see! 🤞

I'll bring you along on the journey 😊

The first true hive inspection after winter did not disappoint!! This is the first of three yards and knock on wood, 3 for 3 are alive and doing great! Its the first year I insulated the top, so maybe that helps? Not sure... we also had a semi mild winter too... so many factors in beekeeping 🐝

The video is the first hive, which tends to be the strongest. And it is! The top deep and half the super on top are already full of honey 😳🍯 the other hives are progressing nicely too, but not like that! Bring on the spring! 🌸🌻🐝❤️

Well, its time to start posting again! Its been a stressful start to 2026, but let's shake it off and get rolling! The girls are definitely in the swing of things with the days getting longer. We've had a dozen chicken eggs a day for a couple weeks at least, and now the female ducks are starting ❤️ 3-4 eggs a day for them the last week or so ❤️🥚

As for soaps and other awesome things? More to come! The shelves are filling up again, anticipating a great spring ahead! Thank you to all my customers and friends. I couldn't do it without you ❤️

It's a warm winter day and the girls are flying! They are happy to have found some grain dust in this bird seed, which makes a nice food source when no flowers are blooming. 🐝

The ducks and roosters like to chime in too 😊
