Direct Support Professional (DSP)
River Run Adult Foster Care Home - Hawley, MN
$14.00 per hour
We are hiring for a direct support professional to work at our Family Adult Foster Care Home in Hawley, MN. Our home is licensed under 245D Home and Community Based Service to assist individuals who need 24 our supervision. Our home is designed to provide independent living skills development, support and supervised living with four people in our home. We are a family atmosphere. Our DSP's are the root to providing exceptional services to our residents.
We currently have full-time and part-time positions available, along with over-nights. We do require at least one or two-night shifts, along with every other weekend.
Job Duties
• Assist the residents with simulation of self-confidence and self- worth
• Assist resident in attaining the goals that they have helped out line in their person centered individual care plans.
• Be active and attentive with the residents with providing positive social interactions
• Complete daily charting, weekly and quarterly documentation for all residents in the home
• With residents and staff always provide a positive atmosphere
• Maintain and follow all schedules of cleaning to provide a supportive living environment for residents
• Continue with honest and open communication with the program director and along with other staff continue with supporting team work and communication
• Support the policies and procedures of the company
• Complete and participate in all trainings that are specified by the program director and by policy
• Perform all work-related tasks as required
Skill Set and Qualifications Required/Preferred
• Must be 18 years or older
• Must have a diploma from high school or an equivalent
• Must have a valid license to drive
• Must be sensitive to all abilities each resident can do
• Must be willing to work as a team player
• Must be able to show written, and oral language skills
All candidates must pass a background screening done by MN DHS
Job type: Full and part time
Experience Preferred: Mental Health (1 year); direct support care giving (1 year)
Education: High school diploma/or Equivalent (GED)

License: Driver’s License (required) and valid vehicle insurance
