                                            Where do you carry your anxiety?
I carry a lot of my anxiety in my legs.
If I'm feeling stressed, unwell, or generally anxious I can tend to be shaking my leg, subconsciously, like I know so many of us do. Sometimes when I'm driving I notice tension in my legs and glutes, especially in traffic. Or after a long day.
I treat these issues in my own body through stretching, self massage, exfoliating, and warm towels to improve circulation and reduce inflammation.
Also practicing progressive muscle relaxation can really help! How? It allows me to have an awareness of which muscles I am engaging, and I can bring my consciousness to the area and practice disengaging the muscle(s).
