Truth time:

I struggle with the process, I'm not always motivated, I'm extremely hard on myself and don't give myself enough credit, I always feel like I should be doing more or doing better than I am.

But after all I am human and I am absolutely in love with this lifestyle, challenging myself and changing my body for the better.

If you have a passion for something, don't give up, push through the challenges and know that no matter how hard it gets, you can do it if you really want it!! 💪🏽

You don't need to spend 100's of dollars on supplements or diet programs to lose weight or get healthy. You don't need to give up foods you love to do it either. You need to focus on how much you're eating, smaller portion sizes and drink more water.

Do you know what supplements might be doing to your hormones, metabolism or gut and other organs?

Do you know why diet programs and 30 day cleanses are so popular and why the people that created them are so well off?? Because they don't work long term and when they stop working you try a different program, drink or pill, padding the pockets of the fad diet industry.

End rant.

You see so many diets, fads, weightloss schemes that promise quick results.

It's tempting to want to try them because they are made to target your insecurities.

Or you want to take action and try to do everything all at once, which often leads to anxiety and overwhelm.

I've been there, wanting quick results and I've also tried to do everything at once, which led to rebounding, bingeing and overall burnout.

Today want you to focus on small, attainable actions.

You can change your whole life with one small choice at a time.

Those choices add up. 💛

Progress isn't linear. 📉

This is 2 months of progress and 14 lbs down for me. Initially, I had a big drop then fluctuations up and down, but with nutritional and training consistency the numbers keep trending downward.

Sticking to the plan and pushing through will yield results, but it won't happen overnight.

If you take nothing else from this let it be this one thing....

Don't give up! 💪🏾
If you have a goal, keep going no matter what the scale says! Success comes from the work you put in and the scale is only ONE way to measure progress.

My clients hear these things frequently!

If you want to lose weight you have to take action, but changes don't happen over night.

And changing everything all at once won't work.

Start by making small changes....

Start walking more..

Start eating one portion of veggies a day..

Replace one drink a day with a glass of water!

You don't need to be perfect, you just need to take action because SMALL changes lead to GREAT success, over time! 🤍

Have you ever googled how to lose weight?! 🙋🏼‍♀️

Me too.

And today I decided to for the sake of this post and the results were horrifying!

Things like "7 day crash diet plan", Detox diets, 1200 calorie a day diets , low carb/keto diets and (even worse) Optavia came up.

Google can be a great tool when researching methods, but just like when you Google symptoms you're having then all of a sudden you're dying, searching for weightloss help leads you down a rabbit hole of misinformation and unhealthy methods.

These diets promise quick results and fast transformations, but fail to provide the information that they wreak havoc on your hormones and metabolism and ARE not sustainable.

The quote anything worth having takes time comes to mind, but we are so programmed to want and expect fast results and instant gratification, but rarely want to do the work needed for sustainable results.

If you are starting your fitness journey or restarting after previous attempts, please do me a favor and stop searching Google to find the answer. 🚫

Instead focus on these 5 things:

🥗your nutrition
🚶🏼‍♀️daily movement
💦drink water
😴 sleep habits
🧘🏼‍♀️stress management

Those are the foundation and the key to a healthy and sustainable lifestyle!

A reminder for anyone who needs it. You will not gain or lose fat overnight. Fluctuations are normal and that's something all of my clients and myself experience. You will not always see numbers going down on the scale... thats okay! As long as you keep pushing through and doing the work your coach has you doing, you will see results. Don't. Give. Up!

The Yo-Yo diet cycle is one I'm all too familiar with.

I used to live this cycle... weeks, months, years even and I know I'm not the only one.

Starting something, being so 'good', falling off and feeling defeated all to do it over and over again.

The cycle of frustration and absolute hell. Hell on myself and those around me.

But I always wondered what was wrong with me. Why couldn't I adhere to it and stick with it long term. It clearly had to be something I was doing wrong, right?

But no, it wasn't me at all.

It was the 'diet'!!

If this sounds like you, please read on. ⬇️

If your diet makes you eat off an 'acceptable' and 'unacceptable' food list, makes you cut out food groups, or restricts you from the foods that you love.....

It. Is. Not. Sustainable.

You will continue to spin your wheels, losing weight when you are following the plan to a T and regaining when you go off plan!

It's time to break that cycle!

The key to a sustainable fitness journey is to find a plan that works for you.

One that you don't feel the need to take a break from.

That's when it will finally last and you will break the cycle!

On there you don't see:

🚫Cutting carbs
🚫fat burning drinks/teas/supplements
🚫intermittent fasting
🚫HIIT only workouts
🚫excessive cardio
🚫ANY fad diet scheme

And that's because you DON'T need any of those things.

My advice to any beginner is pick one thing from the list of things you NEED and implement it.
DON'T try to change everything at once.
