Why haven’t I been posting much the past 6-9 months? Where have I been? ❓❓

If you know me personally you may know that my father has had some health issues since November. He had a back surgery and a surgery to remove cancer 4 weeks apart in March and April. He still needs a shoulder replacement but is getting around much better and hoping to go on a little vacation soon with his wife. I am so blessed that my brother and sister and my dad’s wife have helped during this time to take care of him, but it has been a constant up and down with him. We also have been remodeling his house to make it more handicap accessible; while doing this we have been cleaning stuff out and trying to downsize. This past several months my time has been full of helping take care of him and take him to doctor’s appointments as well as working my full time job and spending time with my beautiful granddaughter!

Due to this and other family issues I have not been as active on social media or posting helpful health information. I think you have likely gone through similar times in life where you put some things on the backburner and during this time I chose to put my FASTer Way to Fat Loss coaching business on the backburner. Well guess what??

I’m BACK…… My plan is to post something up to 3 times a week. I hope to provide you with helpful information to improve your health and your family’s health.

💚Green Gut Health Smoothie

Do you know how important fiber is to your gut? This week in my FASTer Way to Fat Loss VIP group we started a 10 day “RESET” and in this reset the first 5 days we are drinking smoothies to load our body with micronutrients and also to heal our stomach.

Yesterday the “Gut Health Smoothie” was not my favorite but it was on the meal plan today as the breakfast meal, so I thought I am just going to drink it again knowing all the ingredients in it are loaded with fiber and prebiotics. You know what? I really liked it today when I changed my mindset about it and thought about all the good it is doing for my gut health.

It is loaded with 10 gm of fiber and high in protein. Fiber is so essential to our gut health, it helps transport the waste out of our gastrointestinal system and it helps with preventing colon cancer.

Why do YOU need a gut healing smoothie? If you have the following symptoms:

💚Heartburn
💚Bloating
💚Sleep issues
💚Autoimmune problems 💚Fatigue

First sleepover with Nanny, Pops and Holden💓💓💓

Went to eat at Pedro’s and she loved tortilla dipped in cheese, and the Brendan’s chicken and rice. Worked on drinking from a straw and we caught her saying “bubba”

She loves playing with this little box toy her favorite thing to do is to throw the top lid up and down.

Took 2 baths at Nanny’s one before bed and one after breakfast of raspberries and peanut butter toast. This girl loves real food and prefers to feed herself!!

We won’t talk about how “well” she slept. Haha but Nanny and Pops are ready for another sleepover anytime Landry is ready!!🥰🥰

“Just an update on my FASTer way progress

I did not weight at the start of this and I really don’t regret it. I thought it would set me back and I wanted to just focus on being healthier instead of getting discouraged with weight loss.

I did take pictures and I can tell the difference. I did decide to weight last week for the first time since I didn’t weigh to begin with I don’t know exactly how much I’ve lost… But I am down 15 pounds from the last time I looked at my weight which was 3 years ago…but I know I was a lot heavier that that when I started. I am down 58 pounds from my heaviest weight seven years ago. I know I didn’t get that high but I was getting close to it so I’m really happy that I am taking control of it!”

🍽Weekly Meal plan🍽

Less than 2 weeks until Christmas 🎄. Are you ready for Christmas with all your presents bought and wrapped? 🖐🏻 I am NOT ready!!

This week will be a busy week again trying to fit everything in before Christmas🎄🎄. I have a few crockpot meals on the schedule for this week, that is the great thing about this time of the year.

Let me know if you try the crockpot beans recipe. I borrowed this recipe from my sweet co-worker Sarah Sue Daily-Webb. The soda added to the beans makes for such a great flavor.

🍽Meal plan for the week🍽.

Toby and the boys have killed a few deer this hunting season and so we have some deer meat in the freezer. Toby makes some great deer jerky but we always save some of the tenderloin for stew. Now if you don't have deer meat you can always use beef stew meat for this recipe. Toby's secret for his deer stew is he loves to use a whole 48 ounce container of V8 tomato juice. See and save the attached graphic for the recipe! This is great served with cornbread or on low carb days I just eat the stew plain with no cornbread.

This week we have a few Christmas parties so I am unsure if I will cook all of these meals but I absolutely love the salmon sushi bowl and deconstructed hamburger bowl, so I have no doubt these will be the top meals for the week!!

If you try the deer stew recipe let me know what you think, if you don't like the spice in rotel tomatoes just use regular diced tomatoes. Personally we love the little bit of spicy flavor!!

Who else went to town on good foods over the Thanksgiving holiday? 🖐🏻

This week we are working on getting back on track at my house...Unfortunately 😥 football season is now over so we have a little less going on in the evenings.

If you are interested in using my weekly meal plan and want recipes for some of the foods I plan to use you can click that link and see the recipes. I would encourage you to visit some of the wonderful creators websites and look at some of their other recipes.

In December, I am going to try to do fish/salmon/or tuna at least once a week. I am trying to be intentional about including chicken once or twice a week (my hubby does not love 💗 chicken as much as I do).

🦃Thanksgiving week meal plan🦃

I am not feeling super inspired this week with my meal plan but I thought I would still share it with you just to keep in a routine! Another busy week as the Big Elks🏈🏈 are still in the playoffs. We head to OKC for the semi-finals against Cushing on Friday.

We have a wonderful extended family that is so supportive. We will be going to see them Thursday for the day and enjoy our Thanksgiving meal.

Hamburger in a bowl is one of my favorite meals. I just put all the hamburger fixings over spinach or lettuce and it makes for such a yummy quick and easy meal.

Here is my chili recipe it is so easy:

2 lbs of ground beef
1 onion
2 jalapeno pepper

Brown all above in a stock pot, add a couple of tablespoons of minced garlic once the beef is browned. Then add the following
2 packets of chili seasoning mix
1 can of rotel tomatoes
1 large can of crushed tomatoes
1-2 cups of water

Then let simmer until you are ready to eat. We usually eat it over fritos, or you can eat it with some cornbread. I top mine with sliced avocado or a scoop of plain greek yogurt.

🍽 Weekly Meal Plan🍽

This is another busy week! Elk City is still in the football playoffs, so we have another home football game.

We have snow today so I put all the stuff in the crockpot for chicken tortilla soup. YUM! Tomorrow we will grill out some pork chops and have a potato and asparagus. On Wednesday another crockpot meal, then Thursday we are feeding the football boys so we may grab something quick or eat leftovers. Then Friday my husband will eat at the game and I probably won't eat because I will be too nervous. Then Saturday we will cook up some jambalaya.
