Breastfeeding your baby for 12 months decreases your lifetime risk of developing breast cancer by 4-5% and that’s on top of the 7% reduction you get from having a baby!!

Belly casts are a fun keepsake and an opportunity for some cute baby photos. I have done many casts and I would like to have one to show clients. If you are interested in a belly cast, I would love to cast someone twice (free). It takes about 20 minutes each, 34-36 weeks is ideal, I have the supplies on hand.

I am going to attempt a “restart”! I have been waiting for my employer to finalize a new doula position, however, after nearly a year they have decided that it is not a big enough revenue generator.
So, I am going to try to breathe life back into my own business. The first step is to find my first client in many months, doula or lactation clients. I would appreciate any prayers as I work to make this dream a reality.

God has continued to bless me. I have met several wonderful families and amazing moms here in SC. SC has been a little slower accepting a male birth doula and lactation counselor but I am building some trust and solid relationships. I am excited to see what God has in store!

I am in the process of becoming a Tricare (insurance) approved provider for lactation counseling services. Breastfeeding is a challenge for nearly all new mothers who choose to breastfeed and having access to support services can make a huge difference in the decision to continue.

I have finished my orientation with Lexington Medical Center and I am now one of their official birth doulas!

I am also excited to announce that I have completed my first birth “shadowing” at Lexington Medical Center. Three more births and I will be able to support moms and their families independently!

I am excited to announce that I am now a full time Birth Doula, Lactation Counselor, and Postpartum Doula! On May 4th I will complete my orientation as a birth doula with Lexington Medical Center in Columbia, SC.

I am so excited for all of the potential opportunities in the near future! I am planning to begin taking on “official” clients as soon as my certification is completed. Some of the hospitals in the area are beginning to allow doulas back in the delivery rooms!! I can finally finish up my certification after two years of being turned away at the hospital door.

Since moving to SC I have had the honor of supporting several mothers and their families. I have also recently discovered that there is a local major medical center who employs birth doulas in their labor and delivery department! A position has opened for a PRN Birth Doula at Lexington Medical Center in Columbia, SC. I have applied for the position and I would appreciate any prayers that God would clearly put me where he wants me to be. I love taking care of people and I am excited about this new possibility.

I need your help! Due to the pandemic, I am unable to accompany my clients for their labor and delivery in the hospital. So I cannot complete the final step to complete my certification. I need three mothers who do not have a birth partner and would like to have the support of a birth doula. The hospitals are allowing one support person to accompany laboring mothers and I can be that person only if a mother does not have a birth partner.

As a male doula and lactation counselor, I understand that I am not going to be a match for every expecting and new mother. That is why I meet with all potential clients as a first step. Right now, I am advertising maternity photos and belly casts because they are a lot of fun and a great way for me to meet expecting families.
However, my true passion is supporting mothers and their families throughout pregnancy, childbirth, and early postpartum. Pregnancy is difficult for a lot of mothers and early postpartum is difficult for almost every mother! Having a dedicated support person that you trust available to support you can make a big difference in your journey. Please consider meeting with me, I would love the opportunity to talk with you more about how I can support you, your baby, and your family.
