I did a Soul Exhaustion workshop with the ESL class at Three Rivers Community College last week. It was AMAZING. The students filled my heart and soul.

Most interesting moments:

They defined the soul in many ways but I especially loved “It’s the REAL me”.

When it came to Soul Exhaustion and causes they said two very powerful things -

1) “The mean voices in my head”
2) “Before I had to leave my country, I saw certain things happening. Now I see them happening here” 😓

Anam Cara ~ Soul Friend (Gaelic)

This is my younger brother Erik. He is a soul friend. When I am with him, I am transported back to my younger self. The self that was so madly in love with a tiny human, my only younger sibling. As we have grown older and life handed us hardships, I have grown to love him more.

A Soul Friend is someone who you feel safe to be yourself with. There is no competition or need to impress. You know that they love you for who you are and you love them for who they are. It is the deepest gift we can have in our lives.

I’m delighted to announce that I have gained support in creating formalized research around the beliefs about the Soul.

It’s a far more complex concept than most people would guess. While there are universal (or so it seems) understandings, there are also detailed but important differences in how people understand the Soul.

With that said, I interviewed 28 people at an international conference and only one person responded with saying that the soul doesn’t exist. That means 27 people (keeping in mind these are researchers!) understood it to exist although in differing ways!
