“Lose 20 lbs, KEEP IT OFF FOREVER”
I am James Keck and that is the title of my book. I have helped hundreds of people with their weight, and I am convinced that once you learn the secret to losing 20 pounds, you will be able to lose as much weight as you want, whenever you want, for the rest of your life.
I struggled with my weight for many years. I had a stressful job, ate junk every day, and never had time to exercise. Nothing I tried helped. Even if I managed to lose a few pounds, they would come back on.
I learned that there are no quick fixes. Diet and exercise are important, in fact they are essential. But diet and exercise are not enough. If you want to take control of your weight, you need to gain control of your mind. You don’t need to deprive yourself of foods you enjoy eating, you don’t need to do any activities you don’t like to do, but if you want change you will need to change.
The easiest and most effective way to take control of your mind and change your behavior is to create habits that align with your goals. Small changes performed every day will create huge results.
Here is the best way I know to create habits. Pick just one thing you can do every day for the next week that you know is good for you and good for your waistline. For example, you can eat more veggies, or less sweets. You can commit to yoga or take a walk every day. Make it something you enjoy and that has worked for you in the past.
Then at the end of the week, see how you did. If you feel you are struggling to do it, either give it one more week or try something else. If you are feeling good and motivated every day, add something new to do next week. Then do the same the next week, and the next.
It takes about 60 days to create a habit, so by making just one small change every week you will be taking control of your mind, learning healthy habits, and creating huge results. Before you know it, you will begin to feel better and look better. And the best part is that while you lose the pounds, you will be enforcing the habits that will help you keep them off.
