We were honored to host Congressman Rep. Morgan McGarvey at our center this week. He spent time learning about the PACE model of care, asking thoughtful questions, and touring the center to see firsthand how we support seniors in our community.

The Congressman later spoke with the media WLKY News, echoing key messages about autonomy, helping seniors remain where they want to live, and how saves taxpayer dollars. We’re proud to see our advocacy for seniors and families being heard.

Kudos to our entire team for making this visit a success and helping elevate the importance of PACE in our community!

This morning Senior CommUnity Care of KY was pleased to sit down with Rep. Morgan McGarvey. His first stop was an informal meeting to learn more about PACE and the services provided to the seniors of Jefferson County. Next, he took a tour of the SCC KY site that resides in the basement of Friendship House. He spent several minutes not only touring the facility, but he also spent time with our participants. Check out those smiles! Lastly, Rep. Morgan McGarvey sat down with Ms. Hattie, a participant of PACE. Ms. Hattie was excited to tell him all about PACE and how blessed she feels to have PACE in her life.

Today was a great day..... the sun was shining... the birds were singing and the community learned that PACE IS THE PLACE TO BE!
